    I haven't tried this particular DIY yet, but I've made my own perfume. After MANY failed attempts, and a few successes that didn't quite flatter me (a floral scent, and another floral scent with citrus notes that were given as Christmas gifts, and were loved!!!) I came up with my own scent.
    I used moonshine (180 proof) as my alcohol base, because it's not an oil roll on, though I'm thinking of using my nourishing blend of oils I've customized to help with my crazy dry nurse hands.💁🏼
    My notes were cedarwood, white musk, pine, vanilla, and... A top note I can't quite remember? Something grassy!
    It reminds me of forests and old books. It has a musky library in the woods type of feel that is just so calming and adventurous!
    Feel free to try this combo, I can't be the only earthy scent loving person here!
    🌿💚

    I always sucked at math!! Lmbo. I'm just gonna get the same size bottles you have and copy your ratios Lol. In other words, I'm just gonna cheat!! Great idea and I will be trying!!!

  • @KeshaJonTae
    @KeshaJonTae 9 років тому +217

    An easy way to figure out the ratio is to divide the total number of drops you need by the total number of parts you need. So, since 2+1+2=5, divide the total number of drops by 5. Then, multiply that number by how many parts you need for each oil. Example: 40 drops of essential oils/5 = 8, 8x2=16. So 2:1:2 would be 16:8:16 as stated in the video. Example 2: 120 drops/5= 24, so 2:1:2 would be 48:24:48. And so on.

    ***** had to use my inhaler - you crack me up so much. I love you girl. I recently discovered Bergamot and I fell IN LOVE. I got Bergamot everything. Vanilla, Lotus, Sandalwood, Peach, and Sakura (from Naruto, meaning cherry blossom).
    Stay Beautiful! #becausepinteresttoldmeso

      +Sokarijo.Diaries I just now finished the bottles i made in this video. The flowers are still in tact a year later! the purple ones are just a lot darker but other than that, they just look like oil-soaked flowers.

    Do the flowers effect the smell of the essential oils? Do they dilute the smell of the essential oils or do the flowers make the smell stronger? Thanks!

    • @demolitionFM
      @demolitionFM 5 років тому +8

      eyesopenedify I know this comment is old but just in case anyone else sees this and wonders the same, it takes hundreds if not thousands of flower petals to make a small bottle of essential oil. A few dried petals does not contain enough fragrance to effect a blend. 😁

    Thank you for this excellent tutorial video. It was informative yet concise and on topic, unlike what some UA-camrs do going on and on wasting viewer's time with useless off point info. Bless you! I was looking for this info, so a big thank you for presenting it awesomely; nice, precise, brief, and concise.
