I resonate so much with Colet. We’re both introverts, hate small talk, very shy but when it comes to doing what we love, we give our best and hide the shyness.
We Visayan people are fluent in Tagalog because it is thought in school, it's our official language. But most of us have a very strong accent, we get timid speaking tagalog because of it. Also we are not used to speaking tagalog because we used Bisaya like 90% in our provinces.

As a Visayan Pierre. Not a Bisaya/Cebuano speaking but Hiligaynon/Ilonggo. We have to learn Filipino in school just like english. Their is this mentality also from us that these Tagalogs(Not all) belittles us when we speak tagalog because our accents come up and they made fun of us at times. Just like when Filipinos go abroad our english is being belittle because of the Filipino accent. Also as an experience we I to convert our native language to english then Tagalog at times if we forgot the terms in tagalog. But It's fun being a Visayan because we can learn 3 to 5 languages at most.

OH! I remember when I was younger, watching a show on MTV called "Unplugged" and I LOVED that show, seeing artists doing acoustic versions of their songs. It would be SO AWESOME to have an "Unplugged" performance of BINI songs with the girls!!! Oh man I got myself so excited when you mentioned how they should do more of these acoustic songs hahah! Finally, I've been waiting for this. I did not watch it earlier because I want to watch it with Pierre's reaction. :) That 8 song has a good lyrics as well. It was about the girls' being together with each other through hardships towards reaching their dreams as Bini. It has a lyrics that says "walo hanggang dulo which means 8 until the end". To give you a context as well, majority of the languages we used in Philippines are Tagalog, English and Bisaya. North part of the Philippines are usually used Tagalog and English while the southern part of the Philippines speaks Bisaya and English. Even though Bisaya people can speak and understand tagalog, we don't usually use it as we have heavy accent thus we are not comfortable using it while on the other side, not all tagalog people can understand bisaya. Lastly, the word "Kuan" doesn't have direct translation. We use the word Kuan if we don't know the person, the place or anything for example: 1. Colet went to a place called kuan (referring to a place where colet went but don't know the name of the place) 2. Colet is eating a kuan. (Referring to the food colet is eating but didn't know the name)
