It's time to get tactical!
While playing through the new Warface: Breakout game, I got super interested in figuring out what the best weapon was in the game. So I set out to find which weapon would do the most damage and help you win. The answer is SHOCKING! Has anyone ever told you to never bring a knife to a gun fight? Well Theorists, they were WRONG! I'm about to prove that is EXACTLY what you should do... in a video game! Please don't get in dangerous fights, Theorists.

I wanna see that in the game

Grandma's knitting needles actually does seem like an effective way to humiliate your enemies

Then as an added taunt, you knit a sweater for his dead body.
It’s like getting killed by your grandma

I presume the whole “knitting needle” concept is how flechettes work? (Most commonly seen in an armor penetrating shotgun shell that launches tiny needle like darts instead of the traditional rounded pellets)
Exactly. Won't do a lot of damage like buckshot or a slug from a shotgun or FMJ or hollow points from pistols and rifles.
I did not know those types of bullets exist thx
i got an effective weapon. An italian dagger called a stiletto. Its got no blade but a really fine point.
The one thing I hate is he didn’t mention that you can just avoid the armor, so karambit would prolly be best bc of the deep cuts
Orion Foxx the problem is knowing where to attack to avoid the armour, which isn’t always possible in real world scenarios

they just do
that's a good idea. matpat should do that theory.
Zombie's exist, so it's feasible that the same thing that brought the dead back to life also brought the plants to life.
Isn’t there an explanation? Like Crazy Dave spilled something on the plants and they came to life or something like that

You cannot surpass the creator
The grip used in Warface is called the “ice pick” grip named for the spike weapon commonly used in this way, the ice pick. Knitting needles tend to have a duller point, larger diameter, or are hollow. Thus reducing their effectiveness.
I still back “Grandma’s knitting needles as an unlockable.
That said, assuming you have a solid needle, it wouldn't be hard to sharpen it pretty good. Plus, with a decent amount of force behind it (which the ice pick grip is excellent at achieving) even the fairly dull point of a knitting needle could penetrate quite deep into someones chest, so long as you miss the ribs.
"grandma's knitting needles"?
how about john wick's pencils.
Corporate needs you to find the difference between this picture and this picture
They're the same picture
Have you guys seen my dog lately?
Too OP.
I dont want a autograph of john wick...
Graphite would actually break after a few times of use and it wouldnt deliver as much damage
The thing about the Karambit is that because of its curved blade it can easily stab through the side of the armor, which as you said is a weak point, and when you pull it out you it would leave a gaping slash wound because of the curved blade once again.
"Grandma's Knitting Needle" sounds like an easter egg in some other games lol
The very thought of Grandma’s knitting needles gives me the shivers
Grandma's hat pin is even more terrifying.
It's kinda like how chainmail or ringmail as it was actually called was good at stopping swords and stuff but not spears or arrows.
That intro is so accurate it hurts.

the rapier was designed to be a Anti-chain mail weapon, not and Anti-plate armor weapon. the skinny point was so it could go through the holes in the chains. The plate's ended up making the rapier weaker as they could no longer attack anywhere at the body, only your opponents joints.

I can just imagine being a soldier, and the enemy I am currently fighting in close quarters, grabs out a screwdriver to try stabbing me
i havent seen this in the comments yet so here. in CS and Val you can insta-kill with a knife you need to be behind someone and use right click
When you already know the answer and basic science from years of gunshows: 😎🔪
Also a bow would be best to use as it gets through bullet resistant vests and its long distance.
If only arrows weren't so nerfed in most video games with guns.
Seriously, every commando and CS player know how OP are knives!
On short distance of course :D
Guess that's why most bows in FPS games are better then most guns 🙃

I am from the future and like to say, before I get my cozy sweater made by my grandma for Christmas I hear intense loud death music when ever I am 20 meters close to her while she is knitting...amazing id say.
I know a more effective weapon: that camera from Cars 2
It’s only effective on cars with a specific variety of oil that only became common because someone with high influence peddled it to an unsuspecting group of racers.
@@caseyjones8153 So what you're saying is the weapon manufacturers need to purposefully design a flaw in their weapons then sell the device that exploits that flaw tk the other side?
Shakeel Amlay If they did that, then no one would buy their weapons because countermeasures would be common, and no one would buy the countermeasures because no one else is using the weapons, meaning they wouldn’t make any money.
Seeing the title I thought:
Well bayonetts are still a thing and so are combat knives, so I guess there still is some validation to sharp and pointy things, oh and don't forget the helmet doesn't help you either if someone whacks you over the head with enough force and gives you a concussion from your brain sloshing around in your skull, maybe knocking you out or even snapping your neck...
Yeah even if you have the best helmet, the neck still is somewhat hard to protect, I mean sure they help alot and save lives, but there is a limit, which is you the squishy fleshy wearer of said equipment. As for the old school equipment, well, in WW2 there had been sabres, swords, morningstars, and other weapons in trench warfare that I would've thought was only a viable option before firearms were a widely issued thing, but no, they used them sometimes even to the point of ledgend, yes I'm looking at you ghost of Jack Churchill.
Now that I think about it there seems to be some validation to the old German joke about your issued gun having X shots plus Y deadly throws depending on how many pieces you can reasonably disassamble it into.
Then I looked into things just because and here's what I found:
As for soft armour, there is a reason why police officers (to my knowledge at least and at least in Germany) have the option of a relatively thin aluminum plate (other materials being a viable option) in combination with the bullet resistant vest, it stops knives enough that the injury is somewhat lesser, if not even only hurtfull but harmless. Some alternative materials being metal fibres and even something like mail, but in all cases exept hard armour and protection equipment of class SK3 or higher (German standard ratings used) are an extra option not the norm and yeah spike resistance too would fall into SK3 or higher, as well as hard armour.
nerd
As well when going against ceramics hard armours, melee weapons are used to break and fragment the ceramic plate.
Ever since today I wondered why were nail guns so strong in games and why do nail bombs even exist in real life. Now I know.
Even though I've (fortunately) never fully tested it, I've always been told, as a soldier, that the combat helmet won't stop a bullet. Its most vital purpose (other than stopping you from bonking your head when climbing in and out of up-armored vehicles) is to protect you from shrapnel.
@@SgtSupaman i imagine the helmet could stop some particularly small rounds (9mm pistols and the like), but not super effective against typical weapons of war. I, too, though never being involved in military, have always heard that helmets won't actually stop a bullet.

Grandma's Knitting Needles, huh? That caught a lot of people's attention, but now I'm thinking about the effectiveness of a nailgun against juggernaut amour.
7:38 Is there actually a gun that has this name, I would love there to be a gun named pew pew
8:23 Huh...that's weird. Those PASGT helmets *(those helmets are literally a form of "soft armour". They are basically hard shells created by kevlar fibres, and resin glue)* are only resistant to pistol bullets. And since this guy got hit by a sniper, it's very likely that he may have been hit by a high-power, rifle caliber bullet.
.......But, I guess that guy got very lucky, and survived the otherwise lethal hit, because of a few reasons.
1) The sniper's bullet may have hit from a considerable distance. So, that it may not have enough kinetic energy to punch through the helmet
2) The rifle bullet may have hit the helmet at an angle
3) The sniper may have been using a rifle bullet that wasn't optimized for armour penetration
Right on the money! There are multiple tears 8:16 on the helmet, but none of them could be a perforation of the armor given his was only a superficial wound. The projectile definitely glanced
OK I'll fight in a war with a gunpowder powered nail gun
Lokj: I have an army
Tony: We have knitting needles
*AR500 steel and Ceramic Plates have entered the chat*
Also, as a bullet wound victim, without body armor, 1 bullet is not enough to take a man down...
10:01 Lol
Just a slight nit pick. But, just, because the tip of the bullet is painted differently than the rest of the bullet, it doesn't mean that the tip is made out of a dense metal (or any material that is optimized for penetrating thru armour).
I am almost 99.9% certain, that armour piercing bullets are modelled after APCR (Armour Piercing Composite Rigid) shells. Which are projectiles that have a penetrator core (usually made out of tungsten carbide, something like hardened tool steel, and sometimes DU in some cases) wrapped inside a soft metal jacket (that helps cushion the impact, so the penetrator core is less likely to shatter on impact)
And secondly, it can't be just ANY dense metal that you can use in armour piercing bullets. For example, lead is a fairly dense metal, in fact it's much denser than steel. But, its higher density does not make it a better penetrator than steel. In fact lead is very prone to shattering/deforming on impact at very high velocities. What makes for a good penetrator material is usually hardened steel, or tungsten carbide (usually, because they have better material properties. Such as hardness, and strength)
13:58 JoJo Reference: Enyaba the Hag has two right hands.
And also it could be Ponarief rapier from silver chariot
I like jojo and all, but that's definitely not a jojo reference
@@CrossKid
R/whoosh
It's just that the cutouts using two right hands reminded me of Enyaba. I know It wasn't a deliberate reference.
Bullets are designed to flaten out on impact, for example a .17 (one of the smallest common calibers) flattens out to about the size of a dime on impact

heres the thing. when youre close range, in a panic, youre gonna stab and slash. but IRL, soldiers are trained to go for anything NOT covered by armor. that means legs, arms, and neck. a karambit is PERFECT for hitting those sreas. if you can aim it well, one slash above the jacket and below the helmet, theyre dead. carotid gone. wrists gone. even thigh artery, GONE

You're right about the speed, but pistol rounds that aren't on the pea shooter end of the spectrum, (9mm and larger) tend to be larger mass for more stopping power for self defense, while military rifle rounds (which are primarily 5.56 fired from an M16) are smaller and faster to reduce weight.
