Hope you all enjoy the video! I did pan it al lout and found no gold. Also I know I called the Citrine Smokey Quartz but I knew it just brain wasn't functioning.
Miller Prospecting Hi I spent a lot time watching your video like them all Crassen. Are some funny people I have spent a lot of money with them and still find them to be rude and hateful People so think about this 75 gallons down to one gallon I don’t think so the math didn’t work for me but I have gotten 6 bags from them never did to good ether I know how that sounds lol there gem bag yah ok read the description again Same thing not to good I will not buy from them again On your Ruby’s the small ones Should be the best ones look at the big ones thay have been cut so thanks for the videos Keep them coming and I love the bloopers lol to cool Larry
Love watching the little man's face light up pulling those out of the dirt. You have a great family and the love shows. Your wife doing your entro is priceless. Another great video.
19:19 those two "black stones" are actually pretty nice chunks of labradorite, one of the many types of Feldspar - arguably the most variable mineral species after Quartz Labradorite is fun to cut half inch slabs with and polish/cab (in line with the color of course, you don't want to destroy the flashes of colors or make them smaller by cutting them the wrong way) Those blue stones are Apatite and Sodalite. The dark blue stones with white on them are Sodalite (another Feldspar/Feldspathoid), and the greenish-blue ones you said were Emeralds are actually blue Apatite.
I am proud of you for returning the bag sent to you in error. It's refreshing to know that there are still some honest people out there. Good job and thanks for all your videos.
@@MillerProspecting I'm trying to set up my channel and I was checking to see if a different picture would be better. Those are pieces of smelter copper. I will probably go back to me.
I like copper! Not as much as gold or silver but still a nice metal. I almost bought a really nice piece of natural copper stringers at a gem show but just couldnt justify $250. Was awesome looking though.
I have purchased both gold and gemstone bags from Crisson since 1996 (when gold spot was about 265/oz) my ROI on gold at that time averaged 85 to 120, last order 2yrs ago was about 58. I've always been pleased with the gemstone bags, the last one I got had a high quality emerald just over 1/2 carrot, not real big but extremely beautiful. Keep up the great work and many blessings to you and your family.
Wow. Those specimens are huge.? I've only tried a couple bags of gems and minerals and these look enormous compared to what I have seen so far. Very cool to see the family all digging in.
In that mystery pan with the blue rocks, the brighter lighter blue looks like Apatite. the darker blue ones look like Azurite. I'm not for sure, but this could help lead y'all in the direction of proper ID. Once again, Glad to see the family getting in on the action. I had a giggle at the "blooper" at the end. Take care y'all, stay safe.
Most of those green numbered items was green corundum (emerald/not actual emerald), the black stones were in the corundum family also (sapphire/ not actual sapphire), the blue stones were lapis lazuli, the "sunset jasper" and the others that look like it is Chalcedony ( pronounced "Kal-Sid-o-Nee" .. red/orange chalcedony is considered carnelian. The hexagonal pieces are red corundum (ruby / not real ruby ) Most of what you have gets crushed up and used in the abrasives industry. The reason I say ruby/emerald/sapphire not real is because the line between corundum and gemstone really comes down to clarity. If not clear, they get crushed. And anything but gem ruby or containing chromium is just considered corundum. The bright green pieces you called aquamarine is amazonite, a green feldspar. If you find really deep green varieties makes for beautiful cabochons and jewelry. Amazonite is one of my favorite minerals to find along with amethyst.
Hey Dylan, you pointed to citrine instead of Smokey quartz. The purple ones held up in the pan are likely sodalite. The black stones look to be obsidian. And the green ones are possibly emerald.
That''s some huge garnets! I'd have to try and cut or polish one. Not sure how though. Thanks for reviewing this. I saw Tony do a review a while back, but I like to see several trusted reviews before buying. I have a niece and 2 of my cousin's kids who would love this. I wonder if the larger, $100 bag would do or 3 of the smaller $30 dollar bags? Great video as always, take care.
The unnamed green ones seem to be apatite and the blue looks to be sodalite or apatite, going off the back of the pamphlet you have. I have no idea on the black however.
Another great video! Im thinking obsidian or apache tears for your black rocks, and kyanite for the blueish layered ones. I agree with you not trying to price gemstones. That is a whole science and an art in itself. It would be more of a disservice to make uneducated estimates on gemstones. Also when you get the gemstones its usually if not always for your son and family and who can really put a value on that. I doubt your boy cares how valuable the rocks are as long as its cool looking and special to him. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Yeah when I was looking at the black ones I thought obsidian as well. I will add kyanite to my notes. Yeah no way I could value the gems, and no my son doesnt care about the value, unless its gold or silver, lol
Neil Hancock, (The black rock) I'd think similarly except that one piece he showed displayed a well defined crystal plane surface which glass would not have.
That is correct. Gemstones is more fun going through it, it's not just how much its worth it's more about having fun. But what whatever this was a great video keep them coming and I'll be watching.
Apple has an app called Rock Identifier. I discovered today, took lots of photos of my rocks and found out I had more varieties than I realized. Try it out.
You did the right thing is returning the pay dirt and you set a good example for your kids. But, the idea that they were going to offer you a special price on the dirt, you already in your possession due to their screw up, is laughable. They should have thanked you for your honesty, and told you to keep it, and even offer you a discount on your next order. You would have felt good about yourself and happy dealing with such a company. The P R would have been worth a lot more than the $165 cost of the dirt when you told your viewers about it. How many of them would have ordered some paydirt from them after hearing of your experience?
Agreed. While i never expect anythign for free I was really shocked at the offer. I would have been okay if they would have just said return the paydirt and we will send you a refund. But I think the offer was kind of an insult. Oh well, I know not to buy from them again.
Ur last family gem hunt has my 8 y/o jonesing to do one. He wants us to do a father and son UA-cam vid of us picking through it. Never done a vid b4. But whenever I get around to it. It's gonna be awesome! He's sat with me and we've watched ur mail paydirt a dozen times over and other than not having plans or classifiers I'm thinking those will be just as fun...
Well good luck and hope he has fun. Dont worry about the video, my original ones all sucked and I think the new ones still need a lot of work, its all about having fun though.
The dark blue and white is sodalite, the ones that look like old denim jeans . Lapis will have flecks of red sometimes, flecks or veins that look like silver or gold at times and can even have malachite mixed with it-
Wow lovely video. Sorry I havnt watched your last video, I’ve been extremely busy on work and other things. Will check out the videos I’ve missed. All in all keep up the great work👍
Yeah, it will probably keep me from ever buying from them again. 15% off was an insult, they should have either just said ok thanks please do return or done 50% off. As it was they were at a total loss on the bag, by doing 50% they would have gained good CS and broke even which is always better then a loss. Oh well at least I got some good karma out of it.
Family fun with the Millers! Tell your son to change the world not his shirt👍it's what this world needs! $63 for 3 people = $21/hr and gems to boot. Better than a movie and $17 popcorn Saw the cat wanting to stink up the dirt😲 good thing you were there! Might of had a really hard time identifying that gem! Received my dime! Thanks again👍👍 Congrats dime winner!
That was a bit cheeky trying to get $140 (~14% discount) out of you for being honest. My last communication with an online seller for making a shortfall mistake solicited an offer of a 40% refund which I refused as it was too generous. In the case of their paydirt 40% to 50% would seem fair to me. It's not like you had anything other than a personal moral obligation to say anything at all when they clearly lack the same ethics that you displayed. Shame on them.
I know right. I honestly thought they would say just keep it or offer it for 50% off because at 50% they would break even but better then losing it all. In the end though they got greedy and lost a customer for life, I wont even buy more gem paydirt from them and I thought it was good.
Great video👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Fun for kids but def wouldn’t have done 50 for it. All those are very small and or very poor quality. Except for the quartz point those are always cool bigger that an inch or so. I added blaze to my list and compared to a lot of gem bags I thought $50 was fair for what we got. A lot was broken but the rubies were nice and some good quartz as well

Montana gems or gem my crisson? Great video.

Did you check that paydirt for gold. I no when we was at that mine a guy found a one gram nugget while panning gem paydirt
yes I did and found no gold. Wish I would have found a 1g nugget would have made up for the gold bag

Thats where we are heading in our decision
The blue stones are lapis lazuli
thanks
1 is lapis
2,3,4,7, and 8 are apatite
