This demonstration uses 1 microwave oven transformer with 100 turns on the primary coil and 2,000 turns on the secondary coil. By applying 115VAC to the primary we get 2,300VAC at the secondary.     The heated air rises and it carries the spark with it...
    Interesting if we aim a stream of very hot air at the narrowest gap between swords would that increase the spark....
