Man distraction is a big one for me, all my life I had that so I do my breath works and meditations to keep my focus
What I also started doing besides writing things down(my idea's etc) is voice memos a great tool when I have these clear moments when ideas just seem to download from somewhere but just as easily disappear sometimes
so I voice-record then i listen back and i wont forget anymore

Appreciate your advice chief, this is what I needed. Things have been really confusing deciding my goals, and these simple steps always go over my head, so again, thank you.

Sir, god bless you. Wise words. U inspire me to be a better photographer and better man.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm going to watch this without double screening every morning an hour after I wake up. Well, maybe an hour after isn't practical, but I'll put it on audio while I'm making coffee at least.
Love the channel Steve!
This was exactly what i needed right now, how to work on my progress and break some bad habits. Have been working as a photographer for one year, before that it was just a hobby until one day when i just had to give it a chance and to work with my passion. The hardest thing i found out for me has been to stay positive with the right mindset. Same day I saw this video I wrote down every 9 step in my book that you have listed. That helps me to get it and to go back and read it when ever I need to. Also that day I put on a rubber band on my armwrist:) So thankful for have comed across your wisdom.
Also, another thing you mentioned in the video about specialize. After that video I feel more confident in my choice of niche and why I should specialize.
hey Steve, thanks for you videos! I am so happy to find your channel :)
You are so well spoken!
I am glad to have found your channel Steve, consider me a new subscriber.
what do you mean by "don't shoot viewfinder"? Isn't the "little window" (i.e., the EVF) the thing you have to look through to get better?
@@stevecarty ah, that's what I thought, but was thinking perhaps I didn't understand some things.
I had to search if someone noticed that as me, I was like what? Why not? :D I'm glad that i found the answer here
This is awesome. It seems it was just what I needed. That is good advise for all aspects of life. :)
Well said Steve, I was looking around for the craft of photography , and not reviews and gear, thats all good but they dont put you on track with the most important aspect "creative process ", I'm glad you put an effort on this, keep it up!
🔥Great advice. Thank you!
Hey Gary thanks for watching. Do you mind if I ask what your favourite tip was?
Procrastination for sure. I have to push myself to finish to get started. Thanks for asking. @@stevecarty
What you shoot today might not be there tomorrow, spent lots of time on/at crime scenes , criticism can be a demotivator, don't let it be. If it carries any merit don't let it let you ring the bell. Follow and support those that deserves your effort, time and be grateful for them sharing their experience. Sometimes your assistance or apprentice is going to be better than you. Be proud of that, because you are empowering a fellow and the future of photography. Buy what you need and require if and when you can afford it. The expensive and fancy gear needs to be paid by your photography. If a photograph/subject you like has been photographed countless times before, still do it. Oh, the directors chair, well that's yours, learn to be a good director. Thank you for your willingness to share and teach.
