Hello Tanmay, was confused between buying the carvaan 2.0(7990₹) and carvaan 2.0 gold(12990₹) is carvaan 2.0 gold price worth it? And how is the sound quality of the regular 2.0 ?
Carvaan Gold is good for Harman sound quality and finish. Its metallic compared to the plastic bodies of Carvaan 2.0
If sound is the only consideration, would you recommend the Harmon Kardon version?
How is the speaker response of the Harmon Kardon version compared to the regular version. We have Saregama Carvaan 1.0 which and was thinking about WiFi version to get some podcasts and songs etc.
Well, Harman Sound is no doubt great! Specially if you are going to play some new songs via Wifi. The regular Carvaan old classics are by default poor recordings considering the quality then, so for those songs you may not find marginal difference!

Hey Mohit, in terms of sound quality there is a huge difference. In terms of look, the Harman Kardon speaker has got metal body compared to the plastic matt body of old Carvaan Speaker

If app control for music track selection is important to you, then go for Carvaan Premium. Else regular ones are fine too! I honestly see value in the 6-7k ones. They keep playing in the background in most of the houses. Spending beyond 10-12k is not worth, when you can buy a better alexa speaker or homepod which can do more jobs including internet radio 📻

Regular carvaan does not let you select so gs unlike Carvaan Premium. Sound quality is same for both, except for finish quality which is little better in PremiuM as the name suggests 👍🏻
Nice review. I have a question regarding Gold. I am not able to play Artistes and Specials. Whatever I do, it always plays Geetmala. I am overseas, so can't go to the service centre. Will you be able to help me troubleshoot? Or the way to open it up so that I can reset the SD card.
Hey Pankaj, try resetting the device using a small pin which needs to be inserted in the reset button hole at the rear panel. Make sure to keep the device ON while doing so. This is a software glitch which can be resolved by doing this! Let me know once you do :)

Then you will have to submit to the service center whenever someone flies back to India. It worked for few of other clients so recommended!

Can you please review Saregama Carvaan GO GOLD with Herman Kardon Speakers? I have following questions if you can answer related to GO GOLD variant!
1. Does it connects to the Bluetooth Speakers?
2. Can we play the SD Cards songs in Random manner? Or do they get played sequentially one after another all the time. (Can we shuffle the songs so that it plays in random manner like first 9, then 40, then 78, then 16... etc. not in order)
3. How easy to add/copy the songs in SD Cards? Does it gets attached with PC/Laptop? Or we need to remove SD Card manually and then copy the songs to that?

The biggest complaint I see online is the song getting stuck in one loop. Whenever it is switched on the same song is being played again and again and it doesn't move to the next track. How can one replace the batteries?
Hey Kaustav, I guess you might have to raise a complaint with the service center online. Replacing the batteries will also be done by them!

Sound quality for all Carvaan speakers is same until you go with the Harman version!
Is carvaan mini 2.0 worth buying ?
That’s my travel buddy. Like to use it for portability and 2-4 people gathering. For house application, not worth it!
There are lot of negative reviews about this Carvaan radio such as the FM doesn’t work despite using Antenna, No option of Rewind or forward, charging issuing, wifi doesn’t connect easily, Saregama App doesn’t connect using Bluetooth to this radio and most of the time remote doesnt work. I read reviews from Amazon, Flipkart and UA-cam blogs.
I really like the concept and not bothered about the price tag, as I am planning to gift this to my parents. The only worry is the product quality if any above mentioned issue arises then it will be difficult for my parents to get this replaced or do basic trouble shooting.
Product failure is about 5/100 but go for Harman edition and you’re sorted for quality if used rightly 😀

@@manujpande4591 White one is good only for background music and radio. The next higher model gives you convenience to select the songs you want to play through their app control. And the newest model with wifi lets you play songs online as well as listen to podcast. So my suggestion will be to invest in the wifi one!

Hey Koushik, If your parents can be comfortable using mobile phone to select tracks, then go for the 2.0. Its the latest model with lots of features like Wifi Podcast and song selection.
Behatar hota ki mothor languege use karte aap log jyada log bhi dekhte aur samjhte bhi, definatly jo english samjhta hai vo to hindi bhi samjh hi leta hai lekin jo sirf hindi janta hai vo english to nahi samjh payega.
