I have a 20u43 new that I fit into my Industrial table I had another head on. I still have not got it adjusted right. Fabric’s not feeding through like it should and the bottom stitch is not right as well. I do use clear monofilament thread. I don’t think the timing is off. The foot lift was stuck when I got it so I had to work on getting it down I think it may not be down properly. have you ever had this issue???
@TrimzzDotNet it could be a number of things. Have you adjusted the presser foot presser, know? If it's too tight or to lose, it won't feed through properly. Also, check that your feed dogs are clean and not lose as this can also affect fabric feed. Once you've got your fabric feeding, the next thing to check with regards to your stitch is the tension. 20u's, in general, can be very fickle with their thread tension, and, personally, I have to check my tension whenever I change the tread over. Monofilament tread can be tricky to sew with, so be patient!
@ I think it is the presser foot that needs to be lowered do you know of any videos on how to do that? I have been searching for it. Thanks so much for your reply.
@TrimzzDotNet I don't at the moment, I can do one, but it will probably be in the new year, as we've got covid at the moment so haven't finished the sewing room renovation on time. It's chaos here at the moment 🫣🤪
Ok, I will do that at some point soon
