- Paul Suggitt, director of the new Lee Duffy 2020 documentary talks about filming some of the final bits of the Lee Duffy 2020 documentary in South Bank.
Today we filmed some more chatty bits from Jamie Boyle, completed aerial filming of South Bank and filmed a few more infill bits from South Bank actor and badass, Paul Venis.
I have to say, each time we have filmed in South Bank, the people of the town have been fantastic, friendly and accommodating to us.
South Bankers, we salute you, and thank you for having us in your town.

Southbank folk took me in when I was homless.. Top folk Souhbankers 👍🏻
I Bought and watched it on Prime the other night. Very well shot and edited. A thing of beauty. You definitely know your stuff with production. Cheers.
Love this mate us South bankers appreciate this my friend
Correct mr venis
I knew & met Lee, ran a pub in the town for 26 years, had some good laughs he was what people say WILD, take care pal & good luck.
I didn’t realise his family are completely against this
Why what did they say
His family are against anything and everything done by Jamie. There's some statements in the Duffy / Cockerill book by Wraith. Amazes me how everyone is wrong all the time apart from Jamie.
Excellent so looking forward to this
Very sad story short life of a very troubled young man.
Love it I hope everything goes well for everyone involved
I used to box up south bank 🥊I can say that was the best gym I have ever been too 💯 I would happly move back
I met Lee in Durham prison when he was on remand early 90 s he was always nice to me ide heard lots of stories about him off the borough lads in prison Lee never took liberties unless they deserved it rest in peace my friend the rickett
100 % 👍

Fascinated on this new documentary carnt wait I'm a northeast lad n have herd lots stories on Lee n it's a gripping story
This is going to be great
most town and cities had a Duffy.back in the early days 70s 80s era. I know a few from The North West areas of Warrington, Wigan, St Helens towns. they are a rare breed like Duffy was but Duffy got his name noticed in a famous way where many others havent.
@Samantha Duffy i understand totaly your concern and frustration it must be difficult for all of you Lee's family and friends x
I'm from Exeter and there was a good few hard guys down here back on the day who had connections a few are still around and some met untimely deaths, that is just the way it goes
@Samantha Duffy bless all of you xx
Nice one pal👍
He wanted to beat the shit outta paul sykes, top bloke in my eyes
For sure this character Lee Duffy would of had a good side to him. The lady Lorna I think her name is said how Lee was bullied, I take my hate of to Lee feel sure he dealt with all them bullies. RIP Lee Duffy.
You need to edit that 😂
He dealt with being bullied by being a fuckin bully.
Isn’t this the gent who did a homeless documentary? If so tough man and a lovely man
For a different perspective, why not interview some of his victims. Only a idea.
Interview the lad he bullied which killed him
"howdy doody forks"
Is his family going to speak on the documentary
🎉 🎉 Neighhh, no way 🎉 🎉
There’s a lot of hard men in Middlesbrough for that matter the whole of the country lee was unique maybe he should of perused a professional boxing career and not to get mixed up in the seedy world of crime who knows he might of still breathing now. Shame a waste of life and talent.
🎉 🎉 which one is ur drone footage of Teeside 🎉 🎉
I've just watched the new Lee Duffy documentary that you've made. Its a good documentary and I really enjoyed it👍. Personally I don't think it glorifies him it highlights that a life of crime doesn't have happy endings. Duffy dead another doing life in Long Lartin.
Is it out in November on prime
I really don't know why anyone would make a documentary about this bully and thug.
He was a BULLY end of dead at A ripe old age, legend my arse what do all his victims say on this power of his name, through fear or friendship, it's a sad story, let it lie.
Nah
When’s the documentary out Paul?
Lee Duffy wasnt a gangster you need a gang to be a gangster 😂😂😂 nope Lee Duffy was a 1 man whirlwind and his name alone was enough to make grown men cry.
Ending should have how many times lee kept beating lad who stabbed him.. Bullying him.. So he got shanked
When’s this out ?
I think it said backend of November, may I suggest 2 books to read if you haven't already done so the first is the whole of the the moon and the second one is the blood moon both are about Lee Duffy I hope that was help full to you.
@@davidknight1263January now
Missing him already ..... SMH
That's a great Teesside accent there
Brilliant job on lee Duffy rip to him ((
Did they think his ghost was going to get them ?
Don't understand what this bloke did to make him a hero for smoggy to worship him. weird.
We don't 'worship' him, most of us have never heard of him, it's just a few bellends who seem to think he deserves talking about.
Total fucking idiots.
When is it out. The documentary?
William Fell 27th November
@@PaulSuggitt thanks
How many sleeps till this comes out please?
MFC Books it’s released on the 27th November.
@@PaulSuggitt only 60 sleeps to go then.
Why has this man become a hero to the whole internet is nutts he was a bully nothing more get a life .
Southwankers in the house
South bank and park end is a ruff area always has been lot of hard family’s there and back in the 80s and 90s half the houses in the area were smashed petrol bombed or boarded up houses even driving through them area was scary lol but lately am not sure i have never been not sure if it’s any better I think outsiders struggle to be accepted by the locals
Got what he deserved good riddance
Wonder how many Victims there are, quite a few I would imagine.
The hardest bloke round my way when I was growing up would have squashed lee duffy like a grape
