    I love these stories. We're retired in CA because we can't afford a house & the property taxes back home in TX. But when we come home to visit family we always try & travel some new (for us) backroads & also watch for the historical markers.

    Joinerville is still on the Google Maps. Sadly Barbara passed on in 2012.

    Oh, so that's what a wildcatter is. I've heard that term a time or two...although most have been using the term to describe something else. haha
    Seems like she was a terrific woman. God bless the old towns.
