Thanks 👍 Appreciate the positive feedback actually just sold this one wish I had ridden it first as I think it would have bee great for me but can't keep them all :-)
Cheers buddy lol yeah the old Nuggets aye.. They used to wobble around pretty good in Tuflite :-) lol but I like those design concepts. Mainly just keeping that width a little further back to suit our slow waves locally and the quad fins. Hope your keeping well mate. Still rocking your Mids? My mate just bought the white W-Wing tail board and he's a super good smooth surfer so looking forward to seeing how he gets on with that. Given him a go on a few mids but most have been too much volume for him.
Yeah man - I’m good and yep still on the mids - running that one you saw me on as a twin with a little stabiliser I shaped out of old single fin lol - goes great. Gonna get a 6’8 made soon so i can duck dive on bigger days and get out on beaches easier. Hope you’re well - keep up the good work - look forward to the next vid
Looks great NPJ would approve. Will be awesome in smaller choppy conditions. With this and your red mid length you've got pretty much everything covered. The tail thickness on your boards sometimes seems quite extreme but you seem to have thinned this down nicely.
Ha ha Cheers NPJ actually liked my insta pick with the TIm Bessle quads so that's pretty cool I will take that he's a fantastic shaper and I love his shapes Alternative but beautiful and usable. Guess I could put the quartette fins in there too :-) Yeah for sure you have a good eye. I have been a little scared to thin them out too much early in my shaping but getting better now. We do have really weak waves so a little up is better sometimes but for sure i'm a lot happier with my rails and foiling now so appreciate you commenting on that thanks :-) LMAO your probably right and yet I have sooo many boards still :-) lol Need to get some sold really. Cheers mate thanks for the support
hey mate love your videos I've learned lots from them! I'm wondering if you have or can do a video explaining the different tail styles and their differences
Thanks mate appreciate your support.. I have actually if you go back through my videos, dont think I deleted it.. It's a pretty messy one and far from my best though. What I was trying to get across was that though tail shapes are important it's probably more important the size and width of that tail shape.. Does a rounded pin grip better than a squash in bigger waves.... Sure at a similar width and surface area but not necessarily if say for example if the round tail is huge wide and on a low rockered grovel board. Some good info on the internet too. barefootsurftravel.com/livemore-magazine/different-surfboard-tail-shapes www.boardcave.com/the-surfers-corner/surfboard-shapes-tails-rails-and-noses www.surfertoday.com/surfing/the-different-types-of-surfboard-tails
