The house is a gem. So much thought to small details. The marble floors and bathrooms are stunning. The dark wood is breathtaking. Hope some family moves in. There is enough room for three generations to live under the same roof. I like your channel and your tours. There is no room for complaint by your viewers.

I laughed out loud when you finally found that mirror in the master bathroom, so you could say "what's up you guys". This was a gorgeous house and love your enthusiasm and your love for old houses. That master bedroom suite was amazing, well the whole house was actually. And to think they will tear this down is just ridiculous! Thank you for watching your language, some of us do appreciate that.

We have a mansion here that is open to the public. You pay a few dollars to get on the property and a few more to get in the house for a tour. They use the money to maintain the property and lots of people get to enjoy it. The owners daughter lived in the guest house for most of her life. She kept to herself.

The opening in the wine cellar is a shoot used for cases of wine delivered. It is to hard to carry the cases from the main level down. The delivery trucks pull up to the opening & send the cases down without ever stepping foot into the house. The big room on the back of the house was a ball or party room with a bar. Much of the house has been set up for parties & spend the night company. They had a laundry upstairs for changing sheets & bath towels Etc. The laundry in the basement level was the work horse of the house for clothes, towels, linens, table covering used at parties etc. I found it odd their was no laundry shoot to the lower laundry. Every item would have to be hand carried down the staircases & long halls. For ALL the useless rooms on the main level you would think someone would have the good sense to include a laundry room. I know this because I lived in a VERY LARGE home such as this one. Also, they didn’t include a panic room. that we saw. I had 4 panic rooms throughout my home. Also, why NO ELEVATOR? Elevators are a must in large 3-4 level homes. You might get by when you are young, but at about 55+ it becomes necessary! Am just saying & speaking from experience. Thanks for the tour & always know with these large home’s hindsight’s 20/20.

This is a spectacular find, Ethan.
Those smaller bedrooms were probably guest rooms. The ones with walk-in closets were family. I would also assume the two mini suites were for live-in staff.
You probably should go back and check the doors you thought were closets. They may not be, considering those extra rooms in the basement. While making sure not to get caught, this deserves another tour. What an exquisite piece of architecture. On the day they tear it down, go file criminal charges against someone, bc.. shameful, and should be illegal, waste.
    Be safe 🌟

The appliance you said was water, is in fact a Miele built-in coffee machine. Many of the appliances I noted were Miele, they are ultra-premium German brand. That machine would cost well over $8,000. Besides the built in ovens, there was also a steam oven.

This house is a maze! The attention to detail, the embelishments are incredible! The second and third floors are definitely underwhelming. It's hard to believe that an architech was involved. Other than the two large bedrooms, they aren't really the size we'd expect to see, as you noted on the video. But the details! The halls and the ballroom; the design features, the ceilings, the walls and the fireplaces are beyond compare! But - where is the pool and the spa, and the sauna? Funny that a house of this calibre doesn't have any of those amenities. This is one that I'd love to see for myself. What a find Ethan! .

Tha architecture comes from the Greeks and the owner paid a lot of respect to them in building the house. Even though we use modern building materials now they still incorporate a lot of the style from the older way of doing things. This gives us a feeling of being established on a solid foundation that will not fail. Man has come a long way from living in caves and a tent.

A truly spectacular find, Ethan! Thought the price seemed low, however, since many other places you've shown us were over 10 mil and much smaller...I think the entire thing was renovated recently, since nothing looks out of date. The only original-looking thing I saw was the door from the garage into the house--definitely 60's. Can't imagine living somewhere like this--it's way too big.

absolutely mind blowing amazing house, I like the whole house, the marble floors and walls of the bathrooms, the wood work is beyond amazing, and the fire places are a master piece, the ceilings are breath taking, and the wine cellar is open like that to keep the wine cool, think I read it has something to do with the aging process, thank you for sharing I loved the whole tour.😊🙌🙌🙌

I thought i found my favorite room but then the video kept going. I think it was “the dark room” if I had to decide. The amount of wood in this house was honestly insane. P.s will always love the “what’s up guys”, cracks me up every time. Oh! I think I saw you in the background of some dudes video on that insane 80s mansion with the floral couch room. Yours is still my fave. Always love your videos man, have a good day ✌️

Hi Ethan, love your videos! When I see these beautiful places my first thought is always
that I hope that they repurpose everything possible. Toilets, crown molding, wiring, doors, windows, fireplace, lights, on and on! A person could build several houses out of this place!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your adventures.
P.S. Please wear a mask when you are in houses with a lot of mold! Mold can make you very sick. I just had to say that!

This place is amazing and it just doesn’t end. I’m curious what those doors with the motion sensor go to, because you would think that’d make them something important. I’m really curious what the backyard looks like, because it has to be as spectacular as the rest of the house.

Not going to the backyard was probably to avoid people finding out where it is, though (the same reason he said he wouldn't give the first owner's name).

Definitely lived in my someone that was greek, so many nuances. The ball room was amazing, but I would think they'd need to put a railing around it, just because it just drops off, as is. Especially with the bar right there, I'm sure the alcohol was flowing freely! Come to think of it, I could probably fit my entire house in the ballroom, alone! Anyways, that was a grand find and thanks for bringing us all along!

I need to see the floor plan for this house. I became confused about the space or layout of this place. This is too nice to be torn down. It's really sad and wasteful. So glad you got to show us this place before it is gone.

People only say nasty things out of jealousy. You are one of the few urban explorers that shows respect not only to the places but learn the architecture styles and have such an incredible enthusiasm. I would have been squealing so hard in this house I wouldn't have been able to film. It was amazing and you did fine on the Latin...it's a dead language anyway. There is only one part I think you missed. It was a darkened room near the ballroom. You panned across it from the kitchen but never went in. Would have loved to have seen this house in the spring or the summer for a great view of the grounds...but you have to get into these places when you can. I mean what I've said before - you should look into going professionally into real estate then some day you can buy one of these dream houses and redo it and an ode to where you came from. I saw the 75k and I'm so excited for you...and proud to have been one of those first couple of hundred.

Too good of a condition to tear down. Why keep electric and furnace operating if that was the case. Also, look how new the washers and dryers appear to be.

Amazing to see a home with this level of up-to-date high-end finishes being sold as a tear-down for $19 million. There is only one neighborhood in Toronto where I think such a sale is even possible. Without giving away the location lets just say that the neighborhood was once fit for a PRINCE 😉

    • @tercet
      @tercet 2 роки тому +10

Haha, that neighbourhood has had some DRAGONS DENS & SHARK TANKS, etc. BTW this house I'll say 99% isn't going to be a teardown, Ethan is bluffing I think. Wow, I’ve had actual dreams about being in a mansion like this, a house that goes on and on and on, rooms after rooms. At first it seems so creepy as you walk through it, with no furniture or decor en yet one can imagine how nice it would be to actually live there with your family and other family members. Love that party room, and as much as I really love contemporary design I think I could live in this traditional mansion just fine. I bet the new property that will be build will be more California contemporary, maybe they think more people or the owners would rather have that , probably for double the 19 million.
