These days I've been listening non-stop to: - Ethel Cain - Preacher's Daughter (I don't know how familiar you are with her but this conceptual album is super interesting) - FLO -The Lead (I can't recall if you've ever talked about them on the channel but they're soooo good and I believe Keisha shouted them out and praised them a while ago). - SUM41's discography (I feel like it's one of the very few bands from that era whose music still holds up, for the most part lmao) Thanks for always putting out so much great content!
Are y'all planning on doing the other albums? I'd LOVE to see an episode on 'Three' or 'One Touch.' And an in-depth episode on all the tumultuous business during the TIMW era would be really cool. Also would be great so y'all could talk about the evolution of the group.

Great episode! Loved the updated 101 and this album. Today is my absolute fave but loving I'm Alright, Drum, Love Me Hard, Metal Heart and of course Flatline. Beat Is Gone would currently be my Cut though agree I think it would benefit from an acoustic version. Would love Taller In More Ways for the next Sugababes album review (or Change or Three lol).
Now, I don’t know how true this is….but I was pretty sure either Dev or MNEK said at the time that Lay Down was literally written over the top of Swimming Pools for fun in the studio when they first got back together…so I think thats the original? It really felt like they just took the vocals and produced a new track to go underneath it. But again, I could be incorrect.

Another great review guys! Overall I do think Today is a clear stand out. I saw them play it live for the first time at Mighty Hoopla and I've been obsessed since. Luckily I've got tickets to see them in Melbourne next month too, hopefully they do a perform a few more off this album. I am very happy they finally released it! Though I must say, I am especially dissapointed by Summer of '99. It just sounds soooo weird now in comparison to the demo version, and I think it has lost its spark very much. Such a shame 🙁 I love the songs they chose here, though there are some that I never liked from the start (Drum for example). Also not that keen on Back in the Day, No Regrets or the updated version of I Lay Down. But yeah... There literally isn't one single album of any band where I loved all the songs 😄

And even when I don’t agree, you make compelling points haha! Standout song for me is Love Me Hard. I have about 50 of the recorded songs that leaked and Love Me Hard never registered, now, perfection. PS we need the deluxe tracks. If you haven’t ventured to deluxe or bonus tracks for the albums then a video of them all would be great. But, in your own times guys x
