Great video, thanks! I have a 2008 S150 that I bought in perfect condition with only 125 km on it! Having hard cold starting issues now. I cleaned the carb but may have missed the tiniest jet! Your change to a vacuum activated petcock was a nifty work-around to the damaged fuel pump. You are a big inspiration, thanks again!

Me: Thinking about an S150 as a second scoot (GTS300 Super in shop since 05/20/2021 for repair after accident, still awaiting parts).
Watch several VM videos about S150s and their idiosyncrasies.

Wow! I bought a 1974 BMW R90/6. It needed work. I rode it for two months while I collected needed parts for it. My buddy is a airhead master. We put it on the lift and he started looking it over. He laughed. I said what’s funny. He said I was just wondering what was holding this front axle in. He then pulled it out with ease. I rode that bike for two months.

This scooter probably needed a few hours re-commissioning by an experienced technician at a modest cost. It looks as if the owner didn't want to spend anything an now they are left with an even more expensive bill, compared to dong it properly in the first place. I guess there's a real good lesson here! Thankfully, it's likely to be repaired properly, after all!

I'm leaking fuel on my LX 150 from the accelerator pump as you mention at cca 19:30. I've already replaced the float bowl as I tought the accelerator pump mechanism is leaking and I still have leaks with the new float bowl. Does the rubber bellow part keep the fuel in or it should not be leaking at all? Possibly the float is overfilling the carb? Thanks!

Right, just used the hardwarre off the old battery, when I lost one of the nuts. If you haven't replaced a batteery before you might find out you need to slide a small screwdriver under the nut to steady it.

Did you remove the fuel pump entirely?
My customer has an 09 150s like this one but as soon as we give it throttle it dies. So strange. I hooked up a cheapy Amazon carb that looks identical and it ran great so we know the original carb is the problem. Any idea why a carb would idle but nothing after that? No fuel in primary circuit maybe?

I'm having a problem on my scooter. It's an aprilia sr 150 with a carb. On accelerating sometimes it feels like it's skipping or stuttering for a second. This usually happens when accelerating from a stop or when slowing down then accelerating. Care to give me a Idea Robot or a solution. Big fan of your work! Appreciate for your informative videos. • @thomaslemay8817

The spring clips on small hoses work far better than screw type clamps because they continuously maintain the tension, screw-type clamps has the hose ages lose their tension causing leaks.
One of the fundamental problems I have encountered with do-it-yourselfers is they remove parts heat shields all kinds of things from vehicles. I don't need that the fact is if it wasn't needed the engineer would not have put it on there because putting things on vehicles cost money and they're trying to make a profit.
