[The Best Day of My Life 遇见你的那天] Xu Mu, a planner at Shangxin Advertising Company, has just failed her sixth blind date. But as she puts it, finding a partner is not like buying things. If you only care about whether he is an eligible bachelor or not, it will only come off as materialistic. Even though her parents are urging her to get married, she still refuses to budge. Despite repeated setbacks in her love life, she is making strides in her career. At a client meeting, Xu Mu unexpectedly reunites with her high school deskmate. After all these years, Xie Shi has become the cold and scheming director at the client company. Things have changed since then. Due to a drunken misunderstanding, Xu Mu announces that Xie Shi is her boyfriend in her Moments. Faced with well-meaning but clueless congratulations from friends and family, Xu Mu is in a dilemma. They decide to go along with the situation by becoming a contractual couple and start living together. (Designated few people can use these quotas to get a job without giving exams. Quotas were for the disabled/women/tribal/the grandchildren of freedom fighters etc). But the problem was that the quotas were above 50%, (including more than 20% for the grandchildren of freedom fighters), which is pretty unfair for the students who's worked hard all these years.
So the students started protesting to reduce the percentage of quotas. And the government murdered about 200-300 innocent students who had protested against the quota system.
At the end, 2-3 days ago the government changed the quota system, but now they're arresting all the students who had protested in the streets to punish them. It's really messed up there.
