Weren’t they supposed to do a Puppet Wars series of films too? I could swear I remember Fangoria Magazine saying that was on the horizon but it never happened.
I find that annoying because you have to take the movies out of the box & put them in the right order. It should have came with it but I understand that Full moon don't own the rights to Puppet Master: The littlest rich & Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys. They should have found a way to make a deal with the company who owns it so it's a complete box set. They should also update this with Blade: The Iron Cross in the set.
So I've been watching through this series the past month or so, and it's been a lot more fun than I thought. I think things take a turn for the worse after 5, but I still enjoy it. I plan on getting this box-set next month with the Full Moon subscription service. I've seen 1-9 so far though. Here's My Current Ranking of the first 9 movies (Best to Worst): 9.) Retro Puppet Master (1999) 8.) Puppet Master: The Legacy (2003) 7.) Curse of the Puppet Master (1998) 6.) Puppet Master: Axis of Evil (2010) 5.) Puppet Master (1989) 4.) Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter (1994) 3.) Puppet Master 4 (1993) 2.) Puppet Master II (1990) 1.) Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge (1991)
How is the transfer on these? I picked up a DVD set a while back and although the first was clearly remastered and looked pretty decent upscaled, the others didn’t look like they had a good quality transfer and looked like I was watching a VHS tape.
Hey Christian good job on the video. I’m still waiting on my copy of this. Got it off the sale too but mine still hasn’t shipped yet. They told me because of the volume of orders. I’m so happy I got it so cheap and I’m glad I passed on the trunk set. That was way to expensive and I prefer these kind of box sets. Also unfortunately, I heard somewhere that set has audio issues on one of the discs. Is that true have you noticed anything? Good job on the sausage factory btw. I’ve been watching the show since the beginning. You’re a good edition to the show.
I didn't know this more simplified set existed and it doesn't look bad at all especially if you want a cheaper price. I have the original trunk set and the uniformed covers with the booklet in your set is exactly the same as the ones in the trunk so there's no difference at all, looks like Band and co. just repackaged it...… all you're missing is the trunk itself. The FM transfers do get praise on blu ray.com except for PM1 and Subspecies 1, those were the only ones that looked subpar to them and I agree they did a much better job on the sequels. That 12th disc isn't really a "documentary", it's just a bunch of home movies they shot on set during production on some of the films but it is VERY fascinating to watch especially on how they shot the effects and puppetry. The only thing that bugs me about FM blu rays is that they never use lossless audio, they're still stuck in 2006 lol. I have an 88Films blu ray of part 1 with DTSHD and it's sounds far superior and even looks a little better but they only did the first 5 films. Maybe they're trying to stay true with the DTV low budget feel by doing that but I still don't quite get it. I also wish FM did reverse covers like SF does, new artwork with the old vhs artwork on the other side..... that's what 88Films did.
i wish the frightrags guy who did the art for arcana of puppet master cover also did the cover arts for the axis trilogy. i feel that the original 6 had this great painting artwork then after that they were just crude photoshops sadly, sloppily slapped together.
**ive got my friend PINHEAD here, not tunneler. Im sorry guys trust me i know hes pinhead 😂😂”. My brain shuts off every now and again
“Who you calling Pinhead?” - Patrick

The first 5 is the best
I'm waiting for a box set that includes Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich. That movie was great!
I love it too. The blu ray is pretty cheap right now

Do they do similar sales (50% off) for other holidays, or just Valentine’s Day?
Hey Christian, Hope you are doing phenomenal! Does this Puppet Master Collection have special features on it???
Thank you, and yes there are video zone documentaries on every film
Awesome Pickup Buddy! I haven't watched The Puppet Master films in a long time. That's a nice Boxset.

You’re welcome. I’m going to give you a follow on Instagram too.
I am with you puppet master. Edit: the first three films are the best. In my humble opinion Littlest Reich was rad.
Agreed
