you know, it's a ballroom. it's a small crowd, but when a very deserving professional wrestler wins the title and arguably the greatest person to ever carry that belt raises your hand up over your head out of respect it didn't matter if 10 people were there to see it or 10,000 people. (hold up one sec.. I went on so long I forgot where I was going. ok. got it.) it was just as big and as important regardless of where it took place.
It's not just a ballroom - it's the Chase Plaza Hotel Ballroom - from Wrestling at the Chase. Wrestling at the Chase was "made" by Harley Race, who trained Murdoch. It took place at a hugely important venue that added to the occasion.
The chase is a very historic wrestling Venue for wrestling and the NWA most of all. Why is was so important to have that show there. Billy Corgan respects and knows the history and that is why he put the show there. It is the house that Harley built in a lot of ways. It what the NWA started its TV with. It was the most be place before the Crockett era took over. It maybe small but its filled with so much history. Because of that it make it extra special. Wrestlig at the chase is a huge part of wrestling history and its one of those places that you say "If these walls could talk." Because so much history in wrestling happened in that same very ballroom. Chase plaza Hotel Ballroom is one of the very few legendary wrestling venues that still standing and can host events still. Its been a long time since it hosted wrestling but means so much to see the NWA return and that Billy remembers the history.
Very emotional when Flair comes in to congratulate Trevor.
To be the man you got to beat the man
When the man became the man of NWA CHAMPION wearing the original 10 pounds of GOLD !
Congratulations to Trevor
