Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this video - the longest video I've ever made! I can see why you like this lyre the most. It really is something special. I'm very sleepy I must go to bed now, lol! 🛌 I'll talk to you soon!
Love this! I got an aklot for super cheap secondhand, its been wonderful to learn on and I have been looking to upgrade to a 'fancier' one. Thank you for the deep dive!
Impressive stash of Lyres, and well said. I must admit the whole petting a cat on your lap trying to escape gave me a good laugh. 🤣 That was too good, and also a great analogy. It was really cool to hear the sounds side by side. They definitely have their own sounds. I'm also surprised to hear that some Lyres are so pricey. For myself, the more strings the better for more range, but they each have their pros n cons. I like em all though to be honest. This was an awesome review that pretty much covered it all. Very good! 🪽 🎶 🫳🐱 🙀💨 🙂😄🤣
Hi friend! We're both online at the same time. It's amazing! I'm happy you found this video comprehensive. I've been working on it for the past few weeks. :D I love how there are no emojis for the lyre, but you managed to find some others that form a delightful collection! As to more strings, more range, that's wonderful, except when you realize the more strings you'll have to tune, lol. Thank you for your lovely comment, as always. Take care!
@SamanthaonMars Hey that's a great point about the tuning! Yikes for me lmao. The only emoji for the Lyre happens to be the wings. It's what I often use for Harps until they make a Harp emoji. It's well needed in my opinion. It is indeed unique for us both to be here, especially with the time zone differences. Anyways take care as well, and I'm glad you like my attempt at recreating the escaping cat on the lap thing. 😂 Have a nice one! 🌞 🌙
@SamanthaonMars What's funny is I have a story behind it. I never used to use em at all, until someone kept using em when they would respond or comment to me. Since I was new to YT and social media in general at the time, it kinda made me think that's what people like to do, so I kinda adopted that, and yeah became a professional. 😄 I must admit only certain people get em now. That stuff was taking me a lot of time to do everywhere lol.
I'm surprised to see the Brandon John one is that small! It always looked bigger in the photos. I fear ill need another 80 years to make my upgrading decision
I've got a nice Donner but I don't like it's sound. It's much louder but the hollow is more robust and gives it a weird echo. People listening don't seem to notice but as the player I certainly do. It annoys me to no ends.
I think I know what you mean! It’s that hollow shape and size that creates that sound, regardless of the brand. I think many lyres that look the same likely come from the same factory, just with different logos on them.
Excellent comparison video!
Thank you for the appreciation 🥰
Danke, sehr gut erklärt.
You're welcome! :)
always love these videos ❤
Thank you! ❤
Fantastic review and comparison! I like your newest lyre from Brandon John best - both sound and look 🥰

Thank you! There are many amazing options out there. I’d love to hear which one you end up choosing! :)

@@LoneTreePeak So you've been using emojis for a while. An expert, I see! No wonder you always have something new that I haven't seen before, lol.

Besides being small, it’s also thin. Probably why it’s the lightest among the 16-string lyres. As for needing 80 years, I get that, lol!
So much to consider... Well it's some time to my birthday anyway. Do the Aklot lyres not come with a portable bag or case?
They come with a drawstring bag, which helps keep out dust but offers limited protection.
@@SamanthaonMars Thank you for answering :D
