I saw him play against Nebraska in college. I don't recall the exact stats off the top of my head. I believe he had about 360 yards, on 30 carries, and six touchdowns - and his team *lost* by twenty points. Eighty thousand Nebraska fans stood as one and gave him a standing ovation at the end of the game. It was the most awesome display of sustained athleticism I've ever witnessed.

The Thing about Sanders most people do not realize is, you could hold him to nothing all game and some how he would just break one. I mean you could have the perfect game plan, stop him every play and boom, he would break a long run or score. You could not stop him for a full game.
His legs where tree trunks hence the jukes and agility now try to tackle that at 5'8" low center of gravity and explosive speed in three steps. Tackleing Barry Sanders after 3 steps was very difficult. They had 2 literally tell their secondary to stay home in case Barry changed direction and came back to their side of the field.

Ya'll spent more time hating the defense than showing barry love. If you commit on the tackle, you miss. If you slow down and try to arm tackle, you get overpowered. His center of gravity was so low, and his balance and strength were off the charts. They only look like weak tackle attempts because Sanders was that elusive and powerful. His ability to change direction had defenders scared, if you did manage to hit him, you would bounce off him. This is the greatest RB of all time. No question. Put some respect on his name, stop blaming the defense, Barry was him.

The most insane part about Barry's career is that he never really had a good offensive line like Emmitt had. I can only imagine what his numbers would be like he had a good O-Line throughout his career.

The Thing about Sanders most people do not realize is, you could hold him to nothing all game and some how he would just break one. I mean you could have the perfect game plan, stop him every play and boom, he would break a long run or score. You could not stop him for a full game.

His legs where tree trunks hence the jukes and agility now try to tackle that at 5'8" low center of gravity and explosive speed in three steps. Tackleing Barry Sanders after 3 steps was very difficult. They had 2 literally tell their secondary to stay home in case Barry changed direction and came back to their side of the field.
No one is disagreeing with you, but Mike Singletary was a linebacker(50) and Bruce Smith was a defensive end(78) but Barry Sanders was a running back. Positions were completely different and he still barbecued them!😊😊😊

Ya'll spent more time hating the defense than showing barry love. If you commit on the tackle, you miss. If you slow down and try to arm tackle, you get overpowered. His center of gravity was so low, and his balance and strength were off the charts. They only look like weak tackle attempts because Sanders was that elusive and powerful. His ability to change direction had defenders scared, if you did manage to hit him, you would bounce off him. This is the greatest RB of all time. No question. Put some respect on his name, stop blaming the defense, Barry was him.
