Great work man! Enjoyable ride for sure! At some points you were using the throttle only did you? Because sometimes I felt like the speed was dropping a bit too much for 750W... I mean I had the pleasure to test-ride a 250 watt middrive which is already pretty powerful so I'm expecting some decent performance from a 750 w motor. Thing is I would like to buy a conversion kit as well yet not from bafang but from e-rad. I would really enjoy a walkaround of your bike man! Maybe you could explain some details and give us a general impression! I'll sub for sure!
nerdexproject Thanks! I (or rather, The Stick...) never used the thumb throttle only, always kept pedaling while using the throttle (to save the motor). The 9Ah battery also limits the range in extreme terrain, so I have to give the battery some opportunities to recover as well. The Bafang programming parameters from the factory aren't so great: it assists the more the slower you pedal, and at higher cadences you must actually work against the motor, unless you use the throttle. :( That's why I've ordered a programming cable to tweak the settings to allow higher cadences. I'll see if I can come up with a walkaround of the bike at some point.
What is the software or app that you used to overlay the speed, distance and gps of your journey....? I'm looking at making some videos of my new BBSHD1000watt and will be doing so trail riding and want some software to show this...
What a quiet n clean place. I enjoyed the ride with you :) Thx!
