  • This video will help you with your MLB 16 the Show batting, while using the stride and zone hitting. The stride is a tricky form of hitting, you have to be mindful of the batters stride along with the pitchers wind up and their release. You also have to keep in mind that you have to line up your reticle with the baseball to guarantee that you will hit the ball hard and straight. It is a lot to remember and hopefully this video will break it down for you. Enjoy! Your batting coach Ricky J :)

    respect Ricky J I love your videos man. You get it bro. I hit using these setting but on broadcast cam no pci and no strike zone but I was using directional. But, after years of using of hearing the hype about zone hitting and how directional is luck based I broke down and switched over to zone and bro it's legit. so hard but realistic too. All the tutorials on here your the only one I've found that hits like me. zone+analog with stride is the absolute best. I only play franchise with the Angels dynamic difficulty currently at all star almost hall of fame for hitting and analog pitching at hall of fame almost legend all on broadcast cam. I love the realism of it all.

    any tips on aiming the zone? i always leave it untouched in the middle and obvious that rarely works

    • @RickyJSports
      @RickyJSports  8 років тому +1

      +Yao Xiao no just look for pitches in the middle and bottom and lay off the pitches high. You will start bashing balls if you follow this strategy. Good luck Yao

    so is there a way to do contact hit, regular hit and power hit still or is just how hard to flick the stick? I'm just learning.

      Senpopai before the pitch you press the button corresponding to the type of swing So X is regular swing and is the default, Square is power and Circle is contact.

    I've only been playing a few months on veteran hitting , but for some reason lately my offense has just been crap even though i'm still winning most games, but getting 5-7 hits per game really isn't fun. I just use buttons but just tried batting practice with stride and after a few rounds, i ended up with my highest score ever and hit a couple HRs with an average pitcher. I haven't tried it yet in a game but may. I like being able to pull back and then holding up, Where as with the button, basically once your tap it, you're swinging 99% of the time and alot of the time I don't mean to. Not to mention just can't get a handle on chasing the ball around with the dot thing, just doesn't feel comfortable using my thumb. Good video though.

    i have a quick question when you use zone do you have to move the reticle or you just click the button and it moves automatic ?????

    • @RickyJSports
      @RickyJSports  8 років тому

      +mike rod you have to move the reticle. If it is a big reticle you don't have to move it that drastic

    Think of putting your foot down as the 2 strike approach. You're just trying to put the ball in play, not go yard.

    Does your Vision make your PCI biger and during games the PCI gets smaller and biger sometimes WHY?

    • @RickyJSports
      @RickyJSports  8 років тому +1

      +Mega Montq If you are facing a good pitcher your pci gets smaller, if you are facing Joe Schmo it gets a lot bigger :) Vision helps too and contact too

      what camera view you recommend as I like to be close to the strike zone

    • @RickyJSports
      @RickyJSports  8 років тому

      +Craig Anderson I like the mlb 15 the show view. it allows you to see pitches that are low in the strike zone

      What do you think of people playing the zone but have the plate indicator off so it's mainly directional?
