Also about the Brook thing, both of the jokes are referencing how real life musicians are. Like how rock stars get panties and bras thrown at them on stage, while the English joke is that most working musicians are broke lol
In case you're still wondering, different translations have had "Enel" or "Eneru." A native English speaker who isn't familiar with how to pronounce Japanese words from romaji will tend to pronounce "Eneru" wrong (even though that IS the correct romaji transliteration). Paradoxically, if someone is used to English pronunciation, they're closer to pronouncing it the right by saying "Enel" so I like to spell it that way for that reason (and also because I'm used to it being subtitled that way from my first time through). People who see "Eneru" always end up saying "ennaroo" or "en-roo" instead of pronouncing it somewhat correctly (where the "-ru" would be relatively quiet). Not a huge deal, but I just thought I'd point that out for those interested. It's tricky because obviously the Eneru spelling-- when pronounced correctly-- would be ideal for people to notice the wordplay off of "enerugi-" (energy).
I love Sandersonia even more....not that she got cute green hair, she is tall and eyes....also now she is an Anaconda girl💚💚💚 Can't forget her sexy Snake Dance move.
Enel and Eneru are the same person, it's just pronunciation. Because the l and the r sounds are so similar for a Japanese speaker, it's not always easy to tell what they're actually saying whenever there is an l or an r in a word. There's a specific command that one character uses that has been incorrectly translated for years because of it. The commonly accepted spelling is Enel. ---------------------- Hancock is an interesting one. Her devil fruit is scary, but never forget that she's powerful without it, too.
I love these episodes so much. Boa's entire life she was able to manipulate and enslave men because she is beautiful, and then Luffy comes along and calls her a dumbass 😂😂😂😂
I hate that they translate it as "Conqueror's Spirit" in this translation. It's technically not an INCORRECT translation, since it's Japanese, but it just feels wrong for me to witness newcomers to the series seeing it called "Conqueror's Spirit" for the first time. But again, it's not technically incorrect.
Im with you. The official subs are a bit, how do I put this? Bland? VERY literal? They dont account for puns, word play or nuance of terms. Like you said they arent wrong or bad, just... well you know already :)
@@Daelyas And it not even a "Conqueror's haki" It's called "King's haki" or (how it translated in Russian) "King's Will". And as everyone knows Luffy didn't want to be the Conqueror, he want to be the King of the pirates.
@@Daelyas Conqueror isn't literal, but actually is a reasonable localization since it's closer to the intended meaning. If it was literal, it would be "colour of the supreme king" (as in other translations) or "hue of the high ruler" or something. Haoushoku (覇王色) is a compound of 覇王 + 色 (and haki is 覇気) if anyone wants to look up the words individually in a dictionary. The wiki has great explanations for the different "colours" of haki for those who want more context/references.
Its conquer's haki or king's haki or even called the color of the supreme king, remember ( shanks) used it at ep 4 to protect luffy and cost an arm and Rayleigh at sabaody damn oda is phenomenal and master when it comes to foreshadowing.
Luffy used conquerors haki by instinct and yet was able to knock out many spectators in the arena. The more trained warriors and the Boa sisters could withstand it easily. Let´s be honest, if Hancock intervened at this point, Luffy would not stand a chance against her trained conquerors haki. The fact that her devil fruit power does not work on him does not matter at all...
Our Pirate Empress 😍 For sure she will "LIKE" Luffy 👀👀👀👀 The one Luffy and Hancock have called the "Conquerors Spirit" is technically wrong in translation. We call it Conquerors Haki or Colors of Conquerors. We already saw people did it (Rayleigh, Shanks and Whitebeard). It will be explained later about Haki so no worries. 3 Types of Haki can be seen in the fight with Boa sisters vs Luffy.
Its the anime's fault in this, manga readers in general understand that eneru didnt seek the blue sea, he wanted to go up to endless vearth, to reach the moon where there is only land

I think Boa's power works even on animals (maybe even on robots), so it makes no sense that it does not work on Luffy, no matter how asexual he may be. It's just one of those things you gotta roll with, like Usopp not getting affected by Perona's powers.
@@Orbitalbomb SPOILERS FOR MARINEFORD Remember that the Pacifistas got turned to stone by Boa! Pacifistas are pure robots with no emotions whatsoever, yet even they were affected. Similarly, I think even the snakes that the Kuja Warriors carry turn to stone too! How can a snake be attracted to Boa?

I was thinking the same but I've watched the Japanese for so long that maybe I'm just misremembering

The german dubs/subs call Luffy "Ruffy"... yes, it's the worst. Even worse than people pronouncing Sasuke "sa-SU-ke" instead of "SAs'-ke"...
