I was in California in 1990 on a marine base. Next to the hangar was a pond of toxic sludge. Open air and in the sun. It was referred to as “the pond”. They would throw people into it as a form of hazing. It never happened to me but I saw it happen. I bet those guys are dead now.
I just wanna say that office hours is the number one place I go to for peace solace and laughs when it comes to current events (and Dreyfus being bigger then Ukraine, obvi) . Thanks boys for keeping it current
Hey, Tim, could you look into getting Matt Barry on the show, in person? Do you know him? I love him, he reminds me of you - brilliant comedy, great music. You both have incredible voices. He's my favorite British comedic personality and you're the best in the US. You've both done the best sort of sketch comedy I've ever seen.

Then I decided to wiki her, which perhaps explains a bit. Here ya go: "She hosted Breaking the Set on the Russian state-funded network RT America from 2012 to 2015."
ya she sure sounds like a Putin apologist. She said we shouldn't be arming Ukraine to defend themselves. At what point after how much raping and pillaging is it ok for them to defend themselves finally? she is completely out of touch and a traitor to the west for her views on Putin.

It made me pretty sad to hear Abby advocate for lobbying against military aid to Ukraine.
In 1994 we gave Ukraine security assurances when they relinquished their nuclear arsenal as part of the Budapest Memorandum. Now we are supposed to abandon them in their fight to defend themselves from Russian war crimes and invasion?
What kind of message would that send to the rest of the world? US security assurances mean nothing and nuclear proliferation is essential for national sovereignty.
We owe our support to Ukraine. We live in the 21st century, nations can't just go around annexing other countries by military force.

Talk to people outside of the West when making historical references. Even Obama said arming Ukraine would be a bad idea. The US is not benevolent, NATO only protects America's econ interest and uses force to block others out from developing economically.

What's Abby's view on trans ideology, and corporations going woke? Be interesting to hear her talk about that, since it's such a hot topic of late.
I mean I am just a stranger on the internet, you can't trust me for sure, but I've been a long time listener of hers from Media Roots with her brother to Empire Files and even Dosed so I think I can speak on this a little. Abby fully supports trans ideology including anything a doctor decides for their patient to help them transition. In terms or companies going woke it's your pretty standard leftist thought on it. She recognizes companies only do it to pander and that many of these same companies are funding all sorts of conservative anti progressive campaigns home and abroad, but also supports the underlying message of inclusivity and sees it as a net positive in terms of showing where progress is in America that large companies are willing to pander to a group that was once demonized. Like some sort of sick twisted positive that even the most traditionally conservative products find minorities as someone you can market to without fear of hurting your bottom line. Also finds the companies like Target that takes their pride stuff down to be a great example of how capitalism is only about the bottom line and they'll go right back to not having those displays if that's the way society is turning back to. Hope I didn't put words in her mouth, but the Target stuff was discussed on media roots radio as recently as their last episode I believe.
