Well, it worked so I guess it is OK. lol Actually the PCB had some solder on the pad during the manufacturing process that may helped a little. ( I assume) And the micro scope is really helpful!
Just looking for a good USB host chip for my next project, this is one candidate. However I need to support keyboard and mouse. And CH559 supports it, but probably harder to use.

@@KOKENSHATECH it's best for cooling to have that soldered. But if you are not drawing a lot of current on the 16 I/Os it might be okay
