4:06 I don't know why but brian lara cricket 99 gives a very realistic vibe and i am not being nostalgic about it because i haven't played it. Eventhough the graphics are terrible but the gameplay feels even more authentic than the modern cricket games.

Brian Lara 99 is the Don Bradman of cricket games. Other have been good but none have got near the sheer greatness of it. What a game. So much smoother and better looking than games a decade younger. Great work Codemasters.

Most people calling Cricket 07 best is speaking purely out of nostalgia. It was really fun and cool for it's time, but there are far better games out now. Look at what Big Ant have done with a small studio and much lesser capital than a giant like EA. Cricket 19 is the gold standard for cricket games now. 07 was good, but it's really dated now.

That is a trait even with FIFA. Keyboard and mouse is officially supported there, but it's really just half the experience which a controller provides. You can change the controls directly from your settings. You can even customize whether you want your batting or bowling to be like that.

Cricket can never be perfected as a game, there are just too many variation in bowling and batting that u cannot cover it in a game, i have bowled out australia on 3 runs coz i knew the exact spot where to ball, u get 100% success if u bowl that ball
A lot of video games has that one exploit where you can literally break the game. I remember people playing Super Side kick in arcade and it looked pretty hard. Now I am playing it on switch and i can easily score 4/5 goals on opposite team.

Cricket 97 was significant leap in terms of gameplay and ease of playing. Still seems like best for 2 player gaming. EA cricket 07 also brought in many improvements but gameplay wasn't as good as expected. I still play Cricket 97 with my brother and enjoy it the same like I did all those years ago. Modern games just got more detailed and time consuming and slowly lost the essence of gaming - Fun!
