Hi Everyone, I wanted to explore a new type of content I've never done before and this will be a my first time using Davinci aswell so if anything goes bad I apologize. There is definitely alot more research I could've done or edit alot better but I wanted this video to be my stepping stone to leave my comfort zone and expand in the future.
As for my old viewers. Alot of thing's been happening, I'm going to graduate by June this year and I'm already 18. I can't believe time flew by so fast, anyway enjoy my inconsistent uploads :)

deepwoken (it's successor which had been hyped up for 3 years) reduced rogue's player count, not drama or balancing issues - rogue itself is still active today and hasn't "failed"
Every house I was in quit a year before deepwokens release. They believed deepwoken would be better. For me, deepwoken is just a bandit beater. For a couple thousand rogue players it was a let down. Lotta people quit because of the prospect of deepwoken. Not just because deepwoken released.
Personally I think deepwoken isn't as good as rogue is and a couple heads below it

@@reindeer1949 Obviously, deepwoken had much better marketing being hyped even in anime video's. Deepwoken is also alot more hand holding. Rogue is a better game though it gives adrenaline, dopamine, and has a better combat system (not in terms of balancing but in terms of how clean and the uniqueness of the combat)
Also, the youtuber was wrong about rogue players holding on for desperation lol we like the current state of the game and mostly just stick for the pvp, community, and toxicity

Neither arch or reg expected rogue to blow up like it did so for it to still get updates today after it was passed onto another dev is a blessings since you have alot of people who still play rogue. The reason Rogue Lineage died is because the devs gave up on an absolute gem after 6 months due to funky coding, which still lived basically by itself for 2 years.

from constant 3k-5k players and constant promises and (even though late) deliverances of huge updates (update ultimate, etc.) it has fell down to a 400-600 player count

Honestly, this game still have a special place in my heart, but there's two things they need to improve: house dominated servers and ultras killing freshspawns. You join any server and there's a high chance that you'll play in it for 2 seconds and a bunch of apes will appear to grip you, I mean just remove observe. And it would be better if there was a separate world for hybrids and ultras, there are many who prefer super class combat and it would make the game more balanced since a skilled freshspawn have more chances against a super.

In earlier days new player experience was fun exploring, have fun and find out stuff. But now you can't really progress without getting boosted/carried since there is just too much old players (ultras) in most servers that WILL probably kill you and the game hasnt gotten any updates so even bigger reason why players stop playing. To sum it up, max players ruin the progression and there is no reason to stay cause of lack of updates (alteast major ones).
I think there's other reasons why the game lose its players. One reason is people couldn't caught up with the meta and the balance of the game. New player needs to learn a tons of things to be able to fight the average players. This cause the game to be very boring.

The only problem with rogue is no new players, its impossible to prog since its full of house floods (You can call them clans) Or just people with 200 days IN EVERY SERVER, its harder to find a freshie than to find a ultra, 75% of player base of current rogue are ultras no cap

Y’all know statistically speaking Rogue is better than deep right? Some one made a whole OVERALL video like based off player time x player count and all also rogue lineage is more successful than deepwoken being able to do so much for so long. The game was been supposed to be dead. Anybody whos played rogue in the past 2 years knows it isn’t dead. Rogue has always maintained a constant 1 - 2.3k player average player count . And has always randomly dropped for long periods of time just to come back again. This is literally a yearly cycle that’s happened more than 5 times now. I just wish people who actually PLAY rogue made these videos and not people who got the most basic experience or had then most basic knowledge everyone else did. This is just a wiki x very likely butt hurt player mashup to dethrone the game 😊
