There are plenty of portable USB MIDI controller on the market. Nektar found a way to offer something different. It has DAW integration - It can remote control many of your DAW's navigation, transport and manipulation functions. It supports officially many DAWs : Reason, Studio One, Logic, Cubase, and Live Suite 11.... not 10 (at least not officially). In this video, I'll present what the Impact LX mini can do and how to unofficially make it work with Live Suite 10 (you'll need Max for Live)

Yes, Nektar does make cool hardware. My ear is 90-95% back to normal. Really grateful for that!
I already have a p4, fantastic controller but, I have to travel often and this little machine could be the answer to my problems.....and a good price I see on the web.
Interesting, but I think the LaunchKey Mini still has it all. 16 pads, transport controls, 8 encoders, separate pitch & modulation, 1/4 sustain pedal jack, DAW integration with Ableton and Logic out-of-the-box. Novation provides a customization software called Components so you can do all the midi and CC learning you like. Frankly, I think all vendors have taken these mini controllers as far as you can, given the small size. They’re packed with arpeggiators, scales, chords - every midi function possible. We’ve reached the limits of the midi standard. The next step would be for a progressive vendor to define extensions to midi, but that’s a risky battle to start. Which vendor has enough market share to say “this is what the future of midi will be”?
No sustain pedal for launch key though, correct ?
No one needs to own the future. We need all different flavors we can get.
I do miss USB-C and a MIDI out with the Nektar, though.
do you know how to use the sustain via down joystick?
Man I need help. rig I had was stolen. I cant afford the high dollar. I like full size keys( multi) and synth.
Any suggestions for a controller and a mulit synth module that not outrageous? Are they still midi controllin? I could get a full size used thats midi offmarketplace probly if thats still the type of controller?
MIDI is still the same after all these years. Even an old MODI controller will do.
me again. after setting up for pro tools, lx88+ and mini don't play. Do you know how to set it back for ableton use from pro tools. May I request tutorial on setting up to use between pro tools and Ableton. Isn't there a way to set presets for that?
later.....seems to be 11 or 12 back to ableton from pro tools via USB Port Mode.

@@Nu-trix lol. I’ve been having tinnitus for almost a month straight now but it has died down a lot. Had sinusitus in the spring and then COVID in the summer and some infection again in ears in July and then got tinnitus in august and got sick like 3-4 times that month and got panic attacks lol but yea the tinnitus is lower now.
Decided to not do music for like the rest of the year too to take care of my ears. I’m going to school for IT and web design as well.
Take care of your body yall 😂 when my clogged ears go away ima take an extra month off as well for any loud noises maybe longer. Not tryna baby it though.
