Woo!! Thank you Stories for having me :')
you sound badass!!
Got dang you are good
Made my Day 😊
I love that Georgia fully commits to her vocal style
love this arrangement, the drums sound amazing and georgia's tone is NUTSO
Georgia is by far one of my favorite artists at this point. She is amazing.
2:43 when the vocal effect comes in on “sick” makes it feels like the surf pulling back before the wave crashes in
damn Georgia, you got some mad vocal control on your breaks. what a pleasure to listen to.
thank you so much :)
i love how they’re starting to blur the line between scary pockets and stories
Holy shit guys, actual chills. Georgia is incredible!
Agree, her urgency in her voice with those alanis styling inflections are truly goose bump inducing and just authentic as hell, totally reminds me of hearing the original the first time--- Damn!! Loved watching the musicians playing in this one-- soooo beyond pro-- but Georgia!!!!!!!! her voice is soooooo damn great! Thank you Stories!
Georgia's strong voice really drives this song 👏👏👏👏
I am now a huge fan of Georgia Parker. Every single song of hers I listened to on Apple Music is amazing.
That bridge hits.
Damn, this is fire folks.
That guitar tone! Amazing arrangement ya'll. This is a great version of one of Alanis's best!
And the wait for someone to cover this song while actually having one hand in thier pocket continues.
At first, I was thinking 'Oh? Not a bad cover. Yet, is this a piece for the loved stories YT channel, a resource made up of artists who take wonderful songs and add to these their own priceless flavour and yummy voicings.' Just as I was unnecessarily thinking that, Georgia opens up ( 2:44 ) and sends me crashing to my dusty room's wooden floor. A beautiful, powerful, and full of such emotion voice just tears up whatever silly thoughts that I once had. Note to self: Wait 'til the end before having an unnecessary thought. 🌸
She KILLED it. I could never get enough of covers like this!
This is sick.
I like the direction stories is going in. The production is great. The songs are starting to take on a different feel too.
The yodles she does, so so seamlessly... AMAZING
I like the original, I love this cover
Drums are mic’d and mixed so well. Everybody sounds great. Nice job
Great job, Georgia!
I'll be coming back to listen to this one for years to come. Great work, folks!
Clicked immediately..... This channel is pure gold! I know this will be amazing...
Edit: I was correct! Thank you guys so much... I absolutely love covers.
My favourites are the acoustic versions that strip upbeat or pop songs back to the bare bones and reveal how brilliant the writing is, which I often miss because the original is not always my kind of thing.
Another master of that is Ryan Adams.... My favourite artist.
absolutely love the mixing and production on this!
This is a hard song to cover since the original was so perfect. But I like this one a lot. The stand up bass working overtime!
Beautiful voice lady! And I love the slowed down
/dreamy/funky sound! So so jammin! woooo!!!
Yep, could well been a scary pocket production
@@sambeveridge2887 i heard the groove in the first seconds and i was like 👀
More Georgia Parker covers pleaseee!
Badass !
Wow! Great performance of a great song!! Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
That double bass is everything
😳😳😳😳🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant!!!
Although it's always easier to build on previous work than to start from scratch, I find this version better than the original or lets say a significant improvement of the original (I'm trying not to hurt the beautiful and talented Alanis Morissette's fans). Georgia really owned the song, her voice carried the feelings perfectly. The arrangement and execution were, as you can expect from top professional musicians, perfect. Crazy to have access to such a masterpiece for free! Will buy it thaugh! Thanks!
Georgia makes the song great, Stories makes it Epic ❤
Wonderful cover, impressive vocals. Nice work guys.
Fantastic
Vocals, guitar, drums-all so good. Interesting, riveting, and ultra competent. Loved it.
Great!
That''s just so fucking good
Absolutely perfect! Wow!
Great stuff Ryan, I’m always amazed by the altered feel of these covers. It’s honestly awesome when I’d rather listen to these than the originals!
thanks michael! so glad u like
vocal effects are outta this world !!
this channel has the best guitar sounds
This cover is fire!
Love this!
That was amazing!
Pleaseeee, the vocals is so good!
Absolutely amazing 👏
How come Georgia Parker can sing just exactly like Alanis?? :-O
You remember that kid that got famous for like 15 minutes for yodeling in a Walmart? I wanna hear him cover this. :P
Great cover!
yes! million times yes!!!
Loved it.
Best version of this song eva!
This is really good! It's a solid homage to the original, while still being musically distinct.
This gives me such tingles in the brain feel.
Really nice, creative cover of this amazing amazing song- and great vocals!!
This is really good. Nice arrangement. Nice vocals.
Great cover - brilliant drumming.
💕💕💕
wow feels different 😇
damn this is way better than the original
Now, that’s cool.
This murders! Also love whatever sound is coming out of that 12 string.
Amazing arrangement and a perfect balance in a cover between replication and revision. My only gripe - did someone forget to finish the automation on the vocal reverb channel at 2:40 and just leave it at max level for the rest of the song? A little swell in reverb on big belting notes is great, but especially on headphones that abrupt change is really jarring and very unlike the standard of production I've been used to hearing from you guys.
Though I am by no measure a sound engineer, I did like the effect. True, I, too, think that reverb, delays, and various flanging of vocals, if not used sparingly, can and do mask a breathtaking vocal. Yet, Alanis is one of my country's Rock treasures/gems. As the reverb kicked in, it felt like a wonderful unexpected punk like deliciously grimy turn and ode to the original artist. Elements which brought a different and energizing life to this piece. Yet, I could be wrong. I often am. Oh, well.
BRAVO
I want MORE GEORGIA in Stories! (I'm not crazy about her country stuff which I checked out just to see what she's up to normally).
I think that may be the other Georgia Parker. Keep searching.
'Cause I've got one hand in my pocket and the other one's giving a hi-fi!!!
Please more upbeat/rock stuff 🙏
😎✌🏻
👍
Ryan, what is that effects scenario on the guitar? I love it!
Was that Ric Flair on bass?
We are all Ryan Lerman
It's a little bit ironic that her voice reminds me of Alanis.
There so many things that are just right about this cover, and one of those things is its prominent lack of a harmonica solo 😂
that old man is ripping it. so sick
Sounds awesome but definitely pushing the edge of "acoustic". Scary Stories?
🤷♂️🥴
I liked it better before everyone fell down the well.
More Alanis than Alanis.
This is thee formula. 🤌
Love this!
