You have definitely changed our lives! Our market garden would not exist without you. We had a blast hanging out with you and Suleyka! Please come back soon! ... burrito night is at least twice a week so you can't miss it ;)
Well a small world indeed. I had the pleasure of working with your father Martin on Pie IX from 1997-~2002. I was the I.T. guy handling integration of the new companies after their purchase by Belron. I’m sure your dad would be very proud of all your accomplishments today🙂
This is, amongst all your videos, the one that touches me the most. The stories were wonderful to hear and to see and I strongly encourage you to return to Europe and do a separate video for each farm. I think that I personally resonated with your perspective on the connection with food, family, friends and the land, as I have been gardening for a very long time and discovered Elliot in the early nineties (I have almost all of his books, and yours of course). Based on his wisdom, I transitioned from the Troy-Bilt tiller gardening method to his method with fantastic results. I don’t market garden like you but we are pretty much self sufficient these days in terms of our basic food needs. Thank you for sharing your passion and your stories.
I did some traveling in spring of 2020. The crew outnumbered passengers on a couple of flights I took, it was truly uncanny and a little disquieting to sit waiting in am empty airport for am empty flight. I'm glad to have witnessed it, and I'm grateful we're past it.
I should add I was doing critical maintenance on communications equipment, not taking a leisure trip. Farming was my dream before I got into that line of work, and since last summer I'm refocusing into developing my little piece of land so that I can make that a reality. I really appreciate the perspective I get from your videos.
7:19 I remember this great moment. Is that conférence still online? It seems to have disapeared!?! Merci du pays où l'on est exigeant sur la qualité du poireau 😛😃
HOPE YOU WILL BE BACK SOON ! YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOO WECOME! MAYBE LATER YOU SHOULD DISCOVER THE EASERN EUROPEANS FARMING LIKE ON THE HIGHLANDS IN ROMANIA CALL TRANSILVANIA. HEY HAVE AN OLD CULURE O FARMING TOO. HOPE YOU DID RECOVERED FROM THE FLIGHT. greetings from Europe although I am not living in France but love to. as specially south of France
Hey JM👋..I'm from India and your work has really inspired me a lot.I've been watching your videos and reading your book and understanding about market gardening since it's not common(the way you guys do) in India, thanks for sharing your work and information.
Just a fine point, it is not French. It is Québécois that you speak. I've been told by my French co-workers that it has a lot of archaic phraseology. However you can understand one another.
How long can organic market gardeners and farmers that are fully aware of environmental destruction keep going on flying? I read somewhere about an impression you gave once, showing up camping with your family with a biodiesel powered van to a conference or something, and was super inspired that you lived by your values. Its less inspiring when you add up all the flight miles of you, elliot coleman, joel salatin, richard perkins etc. and wonder when it will end. For a while I could understand it, as you needed to spread the message, but at this point with the internet, can we really continue making 7 day trips halfway across the globe with a clean conscious?
I love the picture of you and Elliot! The story of you and he is amazing! I don’t comment here on UA-cam too often, mostly because I watch on our big tv without a keyboard, and comments option. I do and prefer to Twitter, hopefully you will find time to promote your videos on Twitter and take time to send out a few tweets! Keep up the great work JM, we love you man! rwdjr
My family is from Brittany France, it’s my dream to go and visit the homeland. Beautiful story JM

You are SO right! He should have canoed across the ocean. I guess he’s just not a real eco-warrior like you.
The reason you don't know the English word for espalier is because we just use yours.
