- We are restoring a unique piece of the District line’s heritage, the last remaining 1930s Q stock cars.
The 1930s Q stock trains were formed from sleek new cars with flared sides, purpose-built to run with a mix of older cars with American-style clerestory roofs dating from 1923.
Unlike modern fleets which are all built from identical connecting cars, passengers never knew what formation of cars would pull into their platform.
We need your help to raise £200,000 to preserve these rare and distinctive examples of London’s transport heritage, for future generations to enjoy.

The decor is very similar to 1938 tube stock, but I suppose that's because of the similar dates.
The 'boneshakers' (the nickname from the drivers) My favourite Underground trains by far! They were works of art. I hated seeing them go in the early eighties. When can we expect to see this beauty run again? Thank you good people.

Tim Cleaverland: Wow, very nice this train!... My grandad is being using this metro line tube least in around the 1970s... My grandad was is 91-year-old life to love this train! It very long time way to find this video. But now, is extremely expensive to create those railways restored up to it is! (Oh dear, mate!) 😯

i thought that old trains could no longer be run on modern lines due to the new signals? Could someone tell me if this is true?
Some sections of the circle, district and Hammersmith lines run on national rail track so the trains are driven manually for those sections
Will it be ATP fitted ? What condition are the motors and compressors in ?
