No olvidemos que Lara estudió canto lírico. No sé como pueden compararla con Dion. No le llega ni a los talones a Lara. Esta es una artista integral. Es pianista, toca guitarra, actríz, años de conservatorio.... no. No hay forma.

In the spoken part she says, just like Violetta ( Act 3 scene 1), she is coming to the second and last part of the concert. She says to her lover, "i hope you have arrived in time, my love. I need to purify my soul, to let the past go and to sing for you".
Thank you for uploading this performance of Lara. It's courageous of her to repeat this famous piece of classical music. She does a wonderful adaptation. She is compared to a lot of female pop singers. But, what other female pop singer would do that as well. c'est mon opinion. merci
The title of the song is, in keeping with what Lara says, Addio Del Passato or Goodbye to the Past. So at the beginning she personalises this classic song into a love song addressed specifically to her lover.
I don't only like Lara but also classical music so when I was at her concert I was naturally in heaven. I wish you a merry christmas

As to be expected from you, a nicely nuanced experience of Lara and her delicate interpretation of this. It is almost enough to get me to listen to opera again, many years since being force-fed from the cheap seats....(those pillars do wonders for the experience!) Great that you will get the Angelina download...if there is a Christmas song you want to do, I wonder if a look at a parallel version from one of her many Norwegian concerts would be of interest... Not the format as usual, but...

Great reaction. Lara is SO very special! She was also the voice of the French Canadian version of Esmeralda in Disney's Hunchback. She was also the singer of the French Canadian pop version of the song. I would love to see you react to Comme Ils Disent, a Charles Aznavour song from En Toute Intimite.
