Great review. I actually have that Singer you reviewed and it does sound similar. I love the tone, but it depends on what I'm playing. For some older Jazz arrangements I prefer a woodier tone. For that I have a Millar tenor with an alder top and walnut back and sides. I do love the punch of a spruce top though.
Lovely! Love the looks but REALLY love the sound. Every string is present and correct, whether strumming or picking. Nothing hidden or muddy about this one. I would love to hear the soprano in this model. Great review, as usual. Thanks Baz, stay well! 👍
Very nice. Like you I prefer ukuleles with understated elegance. This is a nice one with good sound that reflects its quality. I would love to hear the concert and soprano. Maybe Matt will demo them.
Thanks Baz, caught Matts run through and was hoping to gather your thoughts. Love the aNueNue clarity and they certainly are diversifying to cover many budgets with quality instruments. The bird shape is unique and definitely adds to the beautiful tone. Your description was perfect, thanks for a great review and thanks to Matt for sharing.. Let’s hope it does get a little cooler this week, although I have enjoyed the good weather. Have a great week.
Thanks Baz... hopefully some day you can get your hands on the soprano. It's just one guy's opinion but I thought it was easily the best of the three when I watched Matt's video. Keep up the good work.
I really enjoy the tone this puts out, reminds me of a hammered dulcimer a bit. The appearance is +1 as well. $900 for an ukulele like this is no big deal. Thanks for the review.
Lots of yesses here 🌈 Still a few things don’t fly w/ me personally, one of which is the width of the slot-stock! Even wider than it necessarily has to be.
The review is great, as always, another instrument I like but beyond my price range at present. Classy, attractive and lovely sounding. I love the sound and the looks. More importantly though, I am intrigued by the T-shirt. I can see it is 'The Cure'. I love playing 'Friday I'm in Love' but this band are not the most ukulele friendly band: upbeat and cheerful is not really their style. Intrigued if you play any Cure songs on ukulele! Also what album/ tour is this linked to, I love it and want one! may be cheaper than the ukulele!
The T shirt was from the Cure merch site - the image is from the Wish album - not a 'tour shirt' as such. Been a Cure fan as long as I can remember listening to music. Just Like Heaven is a good one for uke.
From the pictures on the written review you can see that this uke actually has Lattice bracing. That's a big change from their usual Mt. Fuji X-bracing used on all of the other bird series ukes. It's strange that it's not listed as a selling point because that is usually boasted as basically an upgrade.
@@GotAUkulele their new line under a1000 dollars made overseas shipping koa from Hawaii should have used other available woods focused on tone woods giving options less than the 3500 customs
This one is very pretty over all. On that size the open head is ok but I still think they are to large looking on any size ukuleles. I don’t like the price because I have heard better for less. When I say less I mean $800 US. I have a spruce top Ukulele and love it but to me this sounds a little to tinny. That said it still is nice over all. Not my favorite but definitely a nicely built ukulele. Thanks for another nice review…DOC
I do. I merely check tune it before recording as idiots claim I don't. Often the ukes are brand new that are not with me for long and strings can still be stretching a little.
Nice crisp, full sound. Great look with subtle accents. Like it!
Yep - a very classy look

Yes - Matt has made a video
Lovely

Love the sound !! Beautiful ukulele. Thanks for another good review
My pleasure!
Wonderful review as always!! I love the mahogany, and I am looking forward to the eventual cedar/mahogany combo, among my favorite combos
Thanks for sharing!
Just can't go wrong with aNueNue!
I'd agree with you!
And they do it again wow, there just so clever just look at it stunning and it sound fantastic thanks for another brilliant review
Glad you enjoyed it
Lovely ukulele. Though way too warm to be ukulele playing today (as I've discovered) definitely ice lolly weather. Thank you for the review.
was stupidly hot in my office recording that!!
Indeed a beautyful ukulele. No complains about the sound neither.
Thanks for a nice review. With love from Sweden ❤️
Thank you too!
Beautiful instrument thanks Barry I was late watchibg today but worth the wait
No worries
Thanks!
Thanks so much Bonnie!
@@GotAUkulele My contribution to you for a beer to cool you down! I’m thrilled this hot summer is finally over with !

That description is better than the ones that either Matt or I came up with! Spot on!!
Perfect - that's it!

I wouldn't have the slot head myself my friend - the Moon Bird head is much nicer

It's more latticed than some x bracing, but nothing like as much as on the Pono lattice top
Told you it was lattice braced and not x braced... fast forward to your latest anuenue review and you've changed you're tune. Lol
This ukulele series get me curious about the aNueNue bird guitars.
They look well worth a look!
It's a really pretty instrument.
Yep. Classy
Nice and affordable great option if your looking for spruce top
As the Bird series goes - certainly more affordable!
@@GotAUkulele I wish kanilea would have gone more this direction with their new models
@@raymondstebbins5904 How do you mean? Spruce? Because they have made spruce tops (and cedars and mango)

The point making they cheapened their k1 model could have made a overseas tonewood line
I had many anuenue ukes in my hands, the only thing i dont like about them is gloss on the neck.
Agreed - gloss necks don’t do it for me either.l
Very nice ukulele, superb bag, way out of my budget unfortunately.
And for me!

Never understood why you don't have the uke tuned and ready to play before you start recording the video. Lol.
