I’ve always had the theory that the reason pain let Hinata live is because he sees a little of himself in Naruto. Hinata was ready to sacrifice her life for Naruto like Yahiko did for Nagato. He knew Hinata wasn’t a threat to him and there wasn’t really a reason to kill her either, since she wasn’t strong enough to be a threat. Since his plan was to capture Naruto and extract the 9 tails, killing Hinata and having Naruto think she is dead would have the same effect because he wouldn’t live to know the truth.

Imo flashbacks in naruto are almost exclusively the inner thpughts of what a character is thinking. Thats why we always see the swing. Naruto always thinks of that when he is trying to connect to people. Hence we see the swing.

what's crazy is that even after the pain arc, it just gets progressively better to explain the lore and everything about the series. The pain arc is the just the spike of peak episodes coming even from the fated battle between brothers which is also insane.
This is the peak of the series and it could have ended here… it becomes a jumbled mess after this full of some highs but a lot of lows
are you insane? after pain the only other good arc of the series is sasuke's attack on the kage thing. After that everything is bad written IN GENERAL with a few (very good) exceptions

Little error to the animators but the iconic "vest" from konoha was not used during the second great ninja war, the shoulder pad armor that the three sanin used was the combat gear during this time.
This ark is one of the best arks in anime history. It goes even deeper than "just anime".
The rinnegan was originally of the sage of six paths who was said to be the originator of Justus iirc so it makes sense why he is so strong

If you are going to get tattoos of Naruto characters, Yahiko is a great option. He is such a great character. All he stood for, his goals and his influence on Nagato and Konan.
By the time he finished Naruto, there will be so many naruto characters on his body. 😅😅😅

If he can fall under frog song he can fall to ocular genjutsu

And while it's not stated you're completely immune to genjutsu with a rinnegan, it has stronger ocular powers than a mangekyo meaning it would be very hard to put someone with a rinnegan under genjutsu without having one yourself. Also Sasuke's rinnegan made him immune to the most powerful genjutsu

Danzo worked with Orochimaru against the Leaf village multiple times, delayed Naruto's arrival to the village to fight pain, ordered the Foundation not to help in the fight or help civilians so he could retain his own personal military. How is he not a villain at this point in the story?

The fact that Nagato, Karin and Naruto's mother are from the Uzumaki clan is not a spoiler, it's just an interesting fact.
But it amazes me that they figured it out, I only found out from other fans

they've figured out a lot.. some of it not even the whole naruto groups and forums back then at this point in the story couldnt have figured out. its as if they've already have an idea of some information of the show. especially the girl.

Kind of sad that Nagato sees himself as a failure in the end because he really wasn't as he's become a part of Naruto's story. This became Naruto's biggest accomplishment yet with the village who once was terrified of him all see him as their hero. Nagato helped build Naruto up and became key in our boy's journey. Both Naruto and Nagato were successes in the end. Naruto as the child of prophesy, and Nagato being the one to build Naruto into becoming that hero.

@@FatalCorleone07 The only reason Nagato is like this is because he gave his chakra to Gedo Mazo. If Nagato had not done this, Nagato would remain very powerful since the chakra he gave to Gedo Mazo he never got back and he still had a lot of chakra.

You'll find the continuation of this backstory in the fillers somewhere between episode 340-360...Everything about this arc is connected there..Shit goes even crazier in those episodes

When you realize the voice of pain belonged to neither Yahiko or Nagato. Just a disembodied voice created to make a corpse appear alive.
Later on though Pain's voice was retconned to be Yahiko's, you see it in Konan's flashbacks.

i think that you guys missed the part where it was sayed that only other person who had Rinnegan was the Sage of the Six path who was pretty much like a god, so i would think that thos eyes should be able to do everything
28:30 Karin and Nagato (Pain) are direct descendants of the Uzumaki clan. Naruto’s mom (Kushina Uzumaki), and the first Hokage’s wife (Mito Uzumaki) are from the Uzumaki clan. The Uzumaki and Senju are distant relatives as well. Naruto was low key a prodigy from the spot being the son of Minato and Kushina but for better story writing he was put under restrictions with the seal to be seen as the underdog.

Idk if other people have this issue, but when I’m watching on my phone, the subtitles are covered by a white bar. I can’t figure out if I can get rid of this bar in UA-cam settings (I’m not even sure what to call it; it’s for escaping the video) but I thought I’d mention that maybe y’all could consider moving the show up a little bit so that we can still read the subs! You've seen that "thing" before. The summoning is an innate ability due to him having the rinnegan. Konan didn't tell him not use it because she saw it before, but because it looked dangerous and evil
Remember back to episode 5 or 6 of Naruto, when they were doing the bell test with Kakashi. Kakashi referenced this possible outcome: He said something along the lines of "Kill Naruto, or Sasuke dies" to Sakura. (might have been different order).
Also I think something similar happened in Kakashi's flashback with Obito and Rin. Can't remember for sure though.

In defense of Danzo, he did that to protect Hidden leaf because they considered Akatsuki as a terroreast group as they are against the government and could be a threat to other villages in future. Danzo is the guy who dirtied his hand to protect his village no matter the method.
The pains individual powers all belong to nagato, he splits them between each body
Nagatos ultimate summon is the gedo mazo or gedo statue which is the one they use to seal the tailed beast if you go back and watch its always been there
Those papers are just paper bombs (explosion is sealed in those marks) basically just one of many ninja tools but Konan is also using that weird paper power but it's a little bit different

Nagato has access to all the abilities each of the Paths of Pain have. They are basically using his abilities split up amongst them. Also I would assume after unlocking a dojutsu (eye powers) they get some rudimentary understanding of what is possible. Sasuke learns to use his without any help either. Also Karin is related to Naruto through his mother’s side but it’s a distant relationship. The Uzumaki clan name is from his mother.

so to be the devil's advocate regarding the uchiha comment u said about danzo being behind the uchihas destruction, the uchihas were planning to revolt and take over the leaf so at that point there was few option and the 3th hokage wanted a peaceful talk with them to get them to calm down but danzo is a realist and saw there were no peaceful solution which is why itachi did what he did. Now Danzo is still a peace of shit but he's written to be a extreme patriot so in his mind he's doing all of this for the sake of the village but yeah he often goes with the worst ways possible to achieve his goal.
Basically rinegan is a peak dojutsu which is required to tame all the tailed beast and unify it... It equips the user power to execute the taming of all tailed beast .. also gives unique abilities too , similar to sharingan ... Itachi has black flames and kakashi has kamui . I think nagato can manifest the 6 paths in different bodies and that's his unique jutsu

Danzo is delusional. He is convinced that what he's doing is what's best to protect the village. The best villains are always the ones that think they're doing the right thing. His way of thinking is similar to how Granny Chiyo thought before she met Naruto; only, his position in the shadow network of the Leaf allows him to stir the pot more.

For Nagato, instead of summoning frogs, it's rinnegan creatures. And I guess because of his emotional state, the crazy gedo statue came out instead
