If I wrote a Scooby Doo origin story tv show, I would have Fred start off as a popular jock who is great at sports such as Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, track and so on. At first he is a bit rude to Shaggy, Velma and Scooby but as the story continues, he reveals that he acts like that to hide the fact that he’s a really insecure teenager due to his parents constantly neglecting him and favoring Shaggy and Velma over him. Despite him starting off as a bully, I would still give him some likable qualities such as him being a bit more nicer than his fellow jocks and not falling for Daphne at first. Then as he builds his friendship with Shaggy, Velma and Scooby, he grows into the Fred fans love. I would do something similar for Daphne where she is very condescending and disrespectful to Shaggy, Velma and Scooby during their junior year of school. I would also have her start off as a student who is struggling with most of her classes and at risk of losing her place on the swim team so she has to be tutored by Shaggy who I would portray as a smart kid despite his cowardly behavior. As Shaggy continues to tutor Daphne, she starts to warm up to him especially when they run into each other at the hospital where Shaggy is visiting his older brother who’s in a coma due to getting in a bad car accident. There, Daphne does her best to make console Shaggy over the possibility that his brother might recover. I would even have the two start to fall in love later on in their junior going into their senior year where they go to the prom with Scooby doing his best to help Shaggy with his commitment to their relationship. Velma will stay the same for the most part while also initially having a crush on Shaggy before deciding to move on with a lesbian relationship. When the himbo, weakling man-child is the best character.
If Fred had learn to be more independent like cutting his own food for example and not rely too much on his parents to do it for him them maybe Fred wouldn't be a laughing stock and make the biggest mistake of his life which landed him in prison.
Well it's his parents fault for not raising him right.
I get a character change but god damn. Fred was changed before and we loved him being goofy but this. This is just a complete misunderstanding of his character, they made him like this cause he’s white let’s admit it
The Only thing that somewhat saves his character is Glen’s Voice Acting but even then they completely Shat all over Fred
There's blatant racism against Fred in the show so it's not surprising 💀
The ONLY reason I watch this POS show is because of Glenn Howerton. DENNIS FOREVER!!!
that's just Dennis in highschool, without the small hair though
Look how they massacred my boy
They’ll pull this show after one season. It might get an early cancellation and they might pull it from the service all together.
They say it already got lit for season 2.
@@senister14 What they say, and what actually happens are two different things.
@Snow Mexican Stump I wouldn't put it past them, they got rid of scoob 2 for this piece of junk, anything is possible. They must really be afraid of Mindy kaling.
@@senister14 The only thing it has going for it is a ghetto form of Streisand effect. All press is good press as the saying goes.
@@dkgshizzy yep, if they can't get views by being the best, they'll get views by being the worst.
How in the holy hell did this pile of woke shit get a second season. As someone who was born in 77 and grew up on scooby doo I find this as a most disgraceful thing I have ever seen in my life
I like Fred and this might be controversial but shaggy in this show- eh I don't hate em he's okay so he's like 2nd
glen is awesome in this but this show is horrible. he often seems to be part of shows that are doomed to fail

I hate how they ruined a joke
Why, Dennis?
Why not ?

He's This Close To Sounded Like Blake Swift From Secret History Tails 1:54
I hope Glenn gets casted as waluigi in a future Mario film.
0:28 Every girl’s wish 😂
He annoys me less than everyone else in this show.
I can see why Fred, despite the terrible portrayal of the original Character, is the best character in the show (although the bar is set PRETTY low): Glenn Howerton's best/famous role was in It's always funny in Philadelphia as Dennis Reynolds, the most vain, narcissistic and definetaly psychotic Sitcom character ever. In Velma, he returned as the Golden God!
If this show wasn't the complete Slander of a beloved Sitcom, maybe it could've been interesting to watch (but everything about it is so painful/cringe to watch)
Its has lemons 🍋
Don't like Velma but let me get this ref out of the way
"Can we not base our decisions on what does and doesn't happen in episodes of Scooby Doo!"
I feel so bad for Glenn being in this. He’s hilarious in always sunny and if actually wrote for this show it’d probably be somewhat better. If anything I’d say the trial episode would’ve worked better as an always sunny episode deconstructing Dennis as a character.
Actually. I think Fred’s design from Velma is okay.
I do like how they managed to give him the ascot without making him look ridiculously dated.
Same with his design for SCOOB!
Gentleman for women
I forgot this was a show😂😂
What The F••K!!!!!!
Cutties
The worst animated adaptation of Scooby Doo bro this is ass
fred was made to hate him and is the best character in show
AH. I'M ALL SURUPY, BATHES!!!
Ok his dad being Frank Welker is clever
I think parts are unironically funny like talking to Velma, Hilter part, and just making fun of Velma.
Are you telling me that the same guy who can pilot an AIRPLANE, can't cut meat in the new version?
2:08 my favourite part 🙋
Literal Golden God
2:47 aaa a little mermaid reference
Man the writers really did not like Fred😂
Look how they massacred my boy.
