When the narrator said, that they "found Japan"...they DIDN'T found in reality Japan and the Indies. They found America without knowing it and called the natives therefore Indians and some islands "Japan" etc.
They were at first NOT aware of the fact, that this wasn't India and Japan but a complete new continent.
The narrator wanted to highlight that error of Columbus with that ironic way of telling it.

Yeah that’s not true at all. Like someone else pointed out most younger Japanese people have almost no historical knowledge about WW2. Many didn’t know what Hitler did and many don’t even know that the swastika was used as a symbol for the Nazi party and often simply just assume it’s a weirdly oriented ‘manji,’ which is a similarly shaped symbol used in Buddhism. As for the older generations, many either don’t know the extent of Japan’s horrific war crimes or flat out deny it. In fact, I’m surprised you say that when Japan is actually known for the fact that they usually deny that they even committed war crimes (particularly in Nanking). The reason there is so much tension between Japan and other southeastern countries like China and the Koreas is simply because while Japan may deny it, their people had to suffer through the Japanese occupation. To clarify, I am not from Southeast Asia, but I would imagine that Japan’s attitude towards it only furthers the contempt between those nations.
      Edit: fixed a word

“It’s either 2.5 or 3.5” technically he isn’t wrong, (well he is but) the age of the Earth has been drastically inflated just to fit the Evolutionary timeframe for the Universe in the past.
It was originally viewed by people in the the pre-enlightenment era to be around 6,000-10,000 years old, the 1700’s it was 70,000, in the 1800s started assertions of millions of years but and started to become widely accepted, then from there on it started increasing to 2.5 billion years then to 4.6 billion where it is where it is currently
The age of the has been increasing prior to the discovery of radiometric dating so I don’t blame them for not know the age of the Earth.

Obv testing on live subjects is messed up but it put our medical knowledge ahead by at least two centuries, not to mention Nuclear Tech, Missiles and Satellites.
They also had a plan to build a massive dam spanning the Iberian peninsula called "Alantropa" to create clean energy and also turn the Sahara desert back into Fertile land to be farmed, feeding vast amounts of Africa's starving population.
One of the coolest things the Nazis discovered through their Experiments with the occult was an undetectable form of energy that connects humans(Only found by testing on Identical twins) The CIA, MI6 and KGB still use the Nazis research as a template for their research into Telepathy ect.

Due to forced euthanasia of people with hereditary disabilities and diseases under Nazi rule along with insane eugenics programs, the population of central Europe was almost cleansed of such health issues.
For example in some nations it is literally illegal for people with Dwarfism to have children for obvious not so black and white moral reasons.
The Soviets developed Satellites using technology they had seized from Germany after their surrender and also during as thousands of scientists (who were the greatest in the world at the time, Einstein as a pop culture example) defected to allied nations.
Americas Nuclear technology advanced as quickly as it did thanks to turncoat Nazis.
Werner Von Braun, one of the Nazis most prestigious Minds (also a close friend of Walt Disney), inventor of the Rocket and Ballistic Missile was directly involved in the founding of NASA.
Von Braun chose to help the Allies because he originally had planned to use the technology for Space exploration (Which was why it only took 2 decades to get to the moon, the work was already being done in the Reich for Years)
Unfortunately the Americans forced Von Braun and the other Nazi scientists who founded NASA to help develop the Atomic Bomb.
The Aryan Ideology is nothing like the skewed vision Hitler&co had, it is actually rooted deeply in Hinduism, Celtic and Nordic Ideology&Mythology.
The modern perception of what the Vision of an Aryan world would be is nothing how we imagine.
What the Nazis called the Jewish Cabal is what is now referred to as 'Illuminati" or "World Government" and in America they call it the Deep State.
The Nazis were extreme Conservationists and were one of the first Governments in modern time to create Laws against Animal Abuse, promote Vegetarianism and Clean energy, Like "Atlantropa" the biggest free clean energy project of the 20th century.
Yes, they did experiment with things like telepathy and advanced our knowledge on the Magnetic field that surrounds our bodies and interacts with the Electric field, which we used to call an "Aura".
And Yes the Allied Intelligence Organizations did seize all of this research (along w everything else) and still use it as a template today.
Now do I think that's morally grey, Using Medical research from the Psychological to Biological that was obtained by using people as Guinea pigs, Yes because it's obviously wrong. But it did advance our Medical knowledge of all fields by at least a century.

The story with Mansa Musa was that he was the richest man in history. Mali was blessed with gold mines and other advantageous situations and resources that allowed them to exploit the riches of the world. The trip that he took was the Hajj, an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia that is technically required at least once per lifetime if I remember well. On his way to Mecca he would gift so much gold and stuff as a show of wealth that the economy of those places crashed since gold wasn't worth as much any more for a while. Regarding Abyssinia - fun fact - the rastafarian religios movement has as a central figure the emperor Haile Selasie. Before being crowned emperor and re-baptized as Haile Selassie (they were christian orthodox...kinda' so they had part of the rituals of christian monarchy), he was called Taffari Makonnen and his title was Ras (meaning Lion)...so he was Ras Tafari...rastafsrianims...rastaman (the second Italian-Abyssinian war was the subject of my bachelor degree paper...😅 'fun times')...they also claimed that they were descedents from Queen Sheeba and I think they claim to this day that they have the Arc of the Covenant

The thing about not blaming Germany is that, and Bec pointed it out as well, they did commit the most atrocities. It's like say, your neighbour cuts down your apple tree from your orchard and you retaliate by killing your neighbour, obviously you'll face the most repercussions, innit. So, regardless of how much blame Germany gets for the war, they themselves shot themselves on the foot by taking it too far. And that's what they were punished for in the end.

The Pyramids were built by humans. They weren’t slaves either. Citizens from all over Egypt. All citizens were paid with beer mostly to dedicate a fees of their life to building. Ancient records show all of this. It took about 50 years to build. The Nile river at that time flowed very close to the pyramids so they could sail the huge stones down the Nile by boats. Ancient people were a lot more intelligent than we modern day humans think. The Mayans, Egyptians and many other cultures in Africa knew things about the stars that modern human didn’t have knowledge of until the 1700 and 1800 hundreds. They knew and forgot many mathematical and scientific knowledge long along. Most knowledge was lost to humans due to natural disasters and war. The libraries of Alexandria and Timbuktu held huge records of the knowledge of the ancient world, but were destroyed and most of the knowledge wasn’t rediscovered for hundreds of years later. No aliens...humans.
FYI, Roanoke was over 100 years after Columbus 1492 sail to the Americas. It was an English colony in the state of Virginia. By the way, there are UA-cam videos about how WWII is taught in countries including Japan.

As an American, I notice way too many people, especially those my age (early 20s) in this country vote for someone based on what their friend tells them instead of doing their own research. Its sad to be honest but Becc definitely gained respect points from me for admitting to not knowing something therefore not participating.

Columbus thought the world was half the size it actually is. Everyone else was pretty much correct about the size, but he thought their math was off and that it was actually way smaller. With the size that it is and not knowing that there were two other continents to the west people in Europe at the time simply thought it was too far to make it to Asia by sailing that way. You wouldn't be able to carry enough supplies to make it. Columbus was actually about out of supplies when he hit the Caribbean so had there not been two continents there then he would have just run out of supplies and died like everyone thought would happen.

Regarding population, it exploded because of the industrial revolution (medicine + food surplus). People underestimate a lot how hard was life before that, few children survived until adulthood.
Later the birthrate decreased mostly in Western countries (recently some part of Asian countries as well). But the rest of the world exploded, and Africa is still exploding (100 million people in 1900, 1.4 billion people now). While in the west and japan we can't even reach the replacement level.

The DNA instructions telling it how to build another one of itself is how our skin/muscle/bone cells replicate to heal wounds, build muscles, or repair breaks. Those tiny little specks eating chemical soup were single cells themselves, as opposed to multi-celled organisms like plants or animals, so it was easy for them to replicate quickly and thus evolve quickly (think little bacterias evolving immunity to antibiotics).

There wasn't any reason to explore west until the Ottomans blocked Europe from reaching India by land. Because Marco Polo stated distance by time spent travelling and was so slow, Asia was depicted on maps as being very incorrectly large. putting Cuba in the expected position of "Sipangu," a supposed land of gold to the east of China in Polo's writing. The sun rose from Japan's direction and considered the cradle of life in China, ergo gold, somehow. You'd know Sipangu as El Dorado and it's why the Spanish became so brutally insistent on colonisation

Roanoke was in the 1600s and founded by English settlers. The vikings are speculated to have landed in modern day Northern Canada in the 1100-1200s; which is still not 100% proven. The joke in this video about Columbus landing in the Indies and Japan is that he thought Cuba and nearby islands were Japan and the Indies. They also thought the Native tribes in America were Indians, from India. Which is why they are called Indians even today.
Also, the main reason other countries never spent a lot of time or resources to find India by sailing across the Atlantic ocean is it wasn't deemed worth the cost. European kingdoms had well traveled trading routes through the middle east via the silk road and sailing was still very dangerous and costly at the time. Path of least resistance was to keep trading with India and China by land through the Middle East or by sailing around Africa.

As to who's more advanced, it really is subjective and differs based on a lot of things. China is definitely more advanced in some regards.

Pedantic and annoying correction alert: The age of the planet is around 4.5 billion, and the oldest fossil we've ever found of a living organism is about 3.5 billion. And you're correct about the pyramids having nothing to do with slavery. The only record of that is in the old testament, but there's a ton of archaeological evidence to the contrary. Most evidence points to many of the builders being farmers outside of their growing seasons.

About the possibility of the population potentially decreasing in the future, all I'll say is I personally know about 3 people in their 80's who were all parts of families with anywhere from 6-12 Children, with their parent being parts of families equally large, and now it'd be a little surprising to see a family with 3+ kids, I think the US average is around 2, so I don't know if the population will start going down, but we're certainly not accelerating quite as much as in the past; I know some developed countries are beginning to fear potential decline as they're struggling to meet replacement levels of population growth. This is one of the main reasons I take issue with the claim that the world is going to be "overpopulated" as there's still a lot of undeveloped land in the US and other countries, with the fastest growing countries being in Africa and the Middle East, so if anything Americans and Europeans should be trying to accelerate their growth and urban expansion to future proof themselves, and it's mostly African countries who really need to try and either stem their growth, or at least get their stability up to house and care for their increasing population, as there's still massive areas in Africa that could urbanize to care for their swelling population, but it seems most African countries really struggle with stability to commit to such large scale infrastructure investments.
    .
TLDR; World Population is plateauing, most Industrialized Nations are either actively, or will soon be experiencing decline, and mostly rural underdeveloped countries in Africa and Middle East are Booming. Americans/Europeans need to have more kids, Africans need to have fewer kids, and the world as a whole should invest in expanding urban areas as while many places are coping relatively well with larger populations than in the past, if we want to avoid overcrowding we'll all need more housing in the future.

Some years back the Chinese were angry that japanese textbooks were glossing over the war, and basically ignoring the bad things that they had done during the War. A friend who went to Hawaii talked to some Japanese visitors, and found that many Japanese are so ignorant about it, many of them believe Pearl Harbor was retaliation for Hiroshima/Nagasaki. Yes, at one time there were up to 100 planets and planetoids in the solar system. As they collide, large rocky planets are formed. But the proto-Earth (Earth v1) around 5 billion years ago got hit by a Mars size object. As the material came together again, some of the material formed our Moon. Later on, the Vikings were first in North America but up around Nova Scotia. Christopher Columbus never actually made to North America only making to the Caribbean (and no, he didn't find Japan at all, that was a joke). Roanoke was found around 1604 but when Captain Smith returned 2 years later, it was gone. Its still a mystery so far what happened to all the British colonist.
