Coming off their critically praised sophomore album, "Emerald Seas", Seven Spires are set to return with their third, and by far, most ambitious album to date, "Gods Of Debauchery" on September 10, 2021.

Right! It's glorious.
I needed it. I haven't listened to anything Kamelot related since he's depart from the band. No disrespect to Tommy, he's great and doing great things. But I grew up on Roy's voice, and in my personal opinion they've made Tommy into some Wish version of Roy and I don't like it.
@@Northern90s Roy's theatrical lyrics and stage presence and singing style is so organic and natural, everything Tommy does for Kamelot seems too forced, like he's a gesticulating magician doing a performance.

@@ecoao80 agreed it's his stage presence. He feels every single word and note, well he wrote so much of them. Tommy is an incredible singer no question, but there's always something not quite there for me. What I would give to have Roy sing Elizabeth on stage just one more time. In the meantime I'll take these incredible albums being put out by Conception

@@robertlowe29 Agree it's quite different now - as you might expect with 2 decades more experience, their experience with other bands and just life, and they have access to symphonic parts now they couldn't really do before. But it's equally good, if not better.

I love how Roy Khan shows up on this album, gets everybody sentimental and weepy, then the very next track on the album is an epic love letter to classic Kamelot bangers. Can't tell if it's a sly wink or a mic drop moment.
I saw Adrienne cowan for the first time on youtube featuring Dimmu Borgir song and I got astonished by her voice. This song appeared on my Spotify release radar years after, and I am really happy I realized she was singing. Her death growl style comes directly from hell.

Huge Roy Kahn fan was giant Kamelot fan in those days some chick stole my signed hoody.
A sign of a great band is when each album tops the last and even after only hearing 2 songs I can already tell, this is going to be the best album so far.
Best album of their three too. Third album is always the most important. It says if your just a fluke or not.
This song has the structure and feel of a Nightwish Track (like Poet and the pendulum) but with a distinctively Seven Spires take. Good song
Poet and the Pendulum is a very good comparison, imo.
@@Briansgate yeah, poet, alongside with the “greatest show on earth” and “song of myself” are the three night-wish songs I was thinking of when I first listened to this track, as they are all long epic sounding songs with specific and distinct musical sections.

I saw Roy Kahn’s name and clicked with light speed. This is my first time hearing this band and I will definitely check out more by them. In the future can you not interrupt a long song with ads in the middle? It is really jarring and I’ve never experienced it on another song.

OMG GUYS!!! You have no idea how much I wanted to hear this song since I knew that Roy Khan would sing too, because the combination of the voice of Adrienne and Roy was simply magical, it was excellent! the gutturals were where they should be, the guitar, bass and drums provided exactly what those voices needed to achieve an epic song, and the lyrics ❤️❤️❤️...I just loved it!

Holy shit this is a flawless metal masterpiece.
Ok this is one of the best things I've ever heard.
Part 1 is simply one of the best power metal song I've heard, Roy Khan is perfect in this, feels like Kamelot at its very best.
Sometimes with Seven Spires I don't like Adrienne's growls, but here it actually works very well. The middle of the song is incredibly atmospheric and you can feel the protagonist fighting against his inner demons.
The end of the song is grandiose, Symphonic Metal ending that make this song feels like Nightwish and Epica long songs too (The Poet and the Pendulum, The Divine Conspiracy...).
So much different emotions and atmospheres in this, amazing songwriting really.
Feels like a perfect song for an album ending.
Lyrics are great and emotional too. Not cheesy at all.

Roy sounds amazing as he always have, if not, better. I wish he’d frontman a power metal band again or something melodic and heavy like when he was with kamelot.
Yeah. The band he’s in now, Conception, is pretty good but nowhere near as intense as Kamelot.

@@landofsnowandsorrow unfortunately he cant. He sounds great as always but due to age he cannot reach the high notes anymore like he did back in the day without straining alot. Hence the, settled for a darker, deeper overall sound.

I guess there's a spelling mistake & Roy Sætre Khantatat is still just Roy Khan, not Roy Kahn. Regardless the song is great & Adrienne and Roy sound great individually & together.

Just a note to say yes the vocals yes. But the Percussion, Tho!
Normally you hear a metal bass doing the 32nd notes driver, but this time its the drummer beating quadruple time
and going nuts on the skins like it's no thing. The bass is backgrounded behind the drums, unusual but refreshing,
allows the symphonics elements to take the lead.
Fast but not sloppy. Drumer is amazing.
Epica - Unleashed is another song with 32 notes on the drums, just in bursts though.
I freaking love this song so much I tear up when I think about it even it's so wonderful, love what you do with growls as well super Danni not comparing but the guy is the best at making you cry man best in Black Metal anyway. Most people who got hooked on him never even liked black metal in the first place god I cried hard on Cruelty and the Beast I had no idea why even. Did not even know the lyrics really even then as well anyway.
