Even we bought a house in London and went through the same process.. it's tiring But worth it.. tip: don't worry about placement of stuff.. try to make it functional first and later try to rearrange as per ease.. I m sure the house will look beautiful with curtains and lights
Hi even we are planning to buy a house in london rn we live in Brampton, whats the housing prices there if you dont mind telling me how much did you buy it for
For cleaning manually you can use Steam mop, very good for all surfaces and not very expensive..you can later opt for Irobot which does both broom and mop. Its just the beginning and thats why a bit overwhelming..but trust me, you would get used to it and would figure out easy and convenient way of maintaining the house :-) Good Luck
You have very good command over your vocabulary. I’m watching your videos, so that I could learn English and also get to know about Canada. Thanks very much. Love your channel.
A suggestion regarding the rug that u kept in the basement. Getting it dry clean is a very expensive affair. U can rent a water base carpet cleaner from Canadian tire or just goggle it where you can rent it. You can also get the carpet cleaning done with the same machine. Since it's a new house the carpets might have a lot of dust. Just make sure ur rug is kept upstairs for it to completely dry., You can always wait for summer and hand wash it with a soft long handle brush after hang it up on the terrace railing.
For tile moping the 'Rubbermaid reveal' swiper is the best, you can buy a couple of cloths for it and switch for different areas. I thought it was reasonable priced and a professional tile cleaner told me to add Dawn dishwashing soap to the water before spraying it Also, felt my Bissell vacuum does the same job as the Dyson. Although it's much cheaper (if you ever needed a second). Although I have heard Dyson has more perks - it's lighter for one
Hi Pooja. When I watched the house tour initially, I gasped looking at the floor levels and the first thought that crossed my mind was…goodness me, there’s a whole lot to clean!! All your weekends will be spent cleaning, unless you decide on having a cleaner come in every fortnight to deep clean the house. Growing up, having lived in a large house myself, I any day prefer an apartment, without having to worry much about the garden, pets, snow in the driveway etc. This thought process takes place when you reach your mid age and you realise your energy levels are not same as before.☺️ On another note, with staircases, you have to be mindful of the toddlers, maybe have a gate put up at every landing. This will be another phase when you decide on starting a family. Btw, the floor lamp looks great in the corner, beside the TV unit. I suggest you prioritise your cleaning floor wise, every week. Most importantly, do not clutter the place. I keep saying this to myself…the more things you have, the more you will be a slave to those things. Nevertheless, I want you to enjoy every moment in your new house. 😊 My best always.
u guyz did amazing job cleaning it all by urself. for ur big house i think u should buy one of those robotic automatic wet n dry vacuume cleansers. the round ones
You can get an iRobot that vacuums your floors & some even mop as well. They sell them at Costco sometimes, and at times on sale. There’s also other good brands. For deep cleaning perhaps you can hire a cleaning service to come every 2 weeks or something for the bathrooms, kitchen & etc. I would also suggest designating days where you clean certain rooms to maintain things. It’s hard to do the whole house at one time.
You may want to get an electric steam mop. We have one from Costco that we bought a long time ago but it still does the job really well. To it you can add the floor cleaner of your choice and make the house smell fresh and awesome!
Get a steam mop, works so much better on all surfaces. The shark steam mop it's really good. Works with just water. I die twice a week with my 3 level townhouse with dark wood floors too! 😂
Love this. Moving in a week and just preparing myself for the never endless cleaning. You need the Bona mop. They sell them at Home Depot. You refill the solution, but no need to buy pads. They are machine washable. I personally don’t like steaming, and find the Bona easiest to use. This makes our floors clean and shiny. :)
You can hire a professional person to fix electrical items, assembling IKEA bed frame like stuff so that you can set up your kitchen fast. You can cook at home healthy food. Slowly you finish setting other rooms.
Hey Pooja & Saransh🙋🏻♂️Please ignore all the negative comments, people can go watch other vids if don’t like your vlogs. Anywho, enjoy this journey of moving into a new house… also consider using ikea rubber mats inside your kitchen cabinets, it helps avoid roaches. Since, you have a big space now, you may want to consider robo vaccum cleaners like Roomba or other brands, btw they mop too. They are amazing help around the house. Congratulations on reaching 100+K subs 🥳
Yes pee iRobot vacuum and iRobot mop . ( it’s worth it ) , but u still need shark ka mop vacuum combo.. . I have 3 vacuums , and 2 shark vacuum mop .. pls get each for every floor
Cleaning takes a long time, so I have a cleaner come in 3 times a week. The other 4 days, I just have to do a light dusting, vacuuming, mopping, etc., because my cleaner does the deep cleaning. Also, get air duct cleaning since it is a new build.
So do vent cleaning as during construction the dust hid in the vents and can cause breathing issues or allergies. Hire the agency. Also for mopping, buy vileda mop and basket
Congrats 🍾! Take it easy, you ll figure it out. Also, please look into hardwood floor cleaning. Avoid too much water/ steam cleaning. Pine oil , special wood floor cleaners are better .
Ooooh the pastel toaster !!! Haha once, i was so mad (probably at my boyfriend, now husband LOL) that i threw my toaster from the 2nd storey balcony (scary i know)... it has a ding in it, but still works 😄 True story
Like you Pooja, I am getting used to anticipating obstacles, things may not always go as planned. Don't worry much about your Toaster, "You will figure it out". Love your Vlogs 💕
I love my Dyson too. I just use a microfiber mop. I vacuum the main floor every few days, but you are just 2 people. Try not to do everything on the weekend. See what works for you.
Just a tip: I think you guys are setting up the living room wrong haha. The TV and media unit should go where your couch is, and the couch should be facing the media unit kind of sitting in the empty space. It might seem weird that the couch won't be against a wall, but I think that is the correct layout for your space.
I am an interior designer and they aren’t setting it up wrong, there is no right or way, just their preference. I actually really love where they have console, I think it looks great against that wall. Having a couch against a wall is a very old school / condo way of living.
@@cgurl just because you have the title of an interior designer doesn’t mean your advice is the best 😂 with the current setup they’d always have to turn their head to the right to watch TV sitting on their couch.
