Röschmann has such a sparkling voice with such beauty and warmth. This Elvira is right up there with her Pamina for me. - beautiful work.
Finalmente un allestimento che stupisce in positivo. Tecnica, recitazione e regia di altissimo livello. Bravi!
What a dazzling production! Great singing! Great orchestra!
Röschmann rocks! Schrott is amazing here too, it's probably his best role ever.
This is some superb singing and acting from everyone involved. I also saw in the cast information that the Anna of this show was the OTHER German soprano I LOVE, in fact, my even more favorite than Röschmann: Annette Dasch!!! Gosh, I would LOVE see her full Anna!!! Judging by her Mozart arias album, Dasch is one of the greatest Donna Annas, IMHO! What an amazing “pairing” of the two Donnas in this production.
Wow, Erwin Schrott did amazing character work for this part. (There's a lot of energy in his body that could be released for stage work.) Interesting staging. Irony: close physical proximity of Elvira and Giovanni on bench.
@MaxwellsDemon9 I agree! The acting is excellent. They are inhabiting the characters as the characters would exist in this setting. Well done. Great singing too.
she is lovely:)
Holy moly, MaxwellsDemon9. You need to see a catalogue in Leporello's hand to get the gist of things? Surely you jest.
MOZART-SZERELMESEK! Lesz Don Giovanni BUDAPESTEN! 2021.09.04. MŰVÉSZETEK PALOTÁJA
This improves upon the usual trash Salzburg staging. The direction is deft, the acting excellent, and what singing, especially Roeschmann! Thanks for uploading.
Is there anyway to watch this full performance?
One problem though...why oh why has Leporello no catalogue? That's just nuts!
MOZART NON PIANGERE....
