2022 Promotion/Relegation Play-Off: UCD 1-0 Waterford

UCD will remain a Premier Division side in 2023 after they beat Waterford 1-0 in a pulsating Promotion/Relegation Play-Off. In a repeat of last year's fixture, Waterford were left heartbroken as The Students came out on top thanks to Tommy Lonergan's first half strike.

Surely the most telling thing is that none of the Waterford players appealed for a handball. They all saw it was not. Even a hint of a handball and the appealing teams arms naturally go up appealing, it’s drummed into you since you were 8. Will the ref be spoken to?
