Tears running down my face. My mom recently passed and learning how to exist on the planet without her is tough and so empty.
@justjacki can't stop crying, lost my mom last Dec., aside from my two children, she was my world. She'll have a birthday this April, then there's mother's day. Without my children, I truly won't have anymore reason to continue to live...like you said, "tough and so empty". That's grief, will never be over it, just try to move forward with it...

@mariasalinas3248 I’m so sorry you know exactly how I feel. I can’t wrap my head around the rest of my life without my mom. She always shared an incredible bond with my oldest son and now my oldest son has a daughter, he named her after my mom and I love having that little girl to love so much 😇
Same here. Someone recently summed it up in an interview saying that the umbilical cord is finally cut for those of us who lose our moms and I couldn't agree more.

It’s ok. My dad passed away 5 years ago. I “talk” to him every single day. He’s the only person who ever believed in me and supported me. I cry every day for him and I will talk to him the rest of my life.

I lost my dad in 2022 and my mom in 2023 so as an adult it hurts even worse.

Aww, your Mom passed away too young-what a heartbreak! My 61 year old sister passed away from breast cancer at the end of May 2016, then my mother died eight weeks later at age 92. I thought I would never get over their deaths, but fortunately the passage of time does help to ease the pain. I still have their numbers on my phone-can’t bear to delete them! To Mama and Sis-I love you forever!❤
OMG! That broke my heart! My Mom passed away 3 years ago! I still have her as one of my favourites. In the beginning I would call & got a message “this # is no longer in service”. Now the response is nothing. I am waiting for someone new to get her #!

My phone was stolen. I lost all my contacts. My mother’s voice mails were on that phone. After Mom died I could at least continue to hear her voice. Mom & I lived life together. Fortunately my memories are so blessed every time I think of my mother I smile.
As a mom of an adult child this is hard to watch that they so close and she has to go on without her. 😢 I lost my daughter’s father before he turned 30 and he was my best friend. I know exactly how she feels.

This is so beautiful! I heard an interview about grief with Anderson Cooper and he talked about losing his mom, as well as the woman who was his nanny. For him, he feels that the relationships continue because of the way he thinks of them as he grows and changes and experiences more over the years. I loved that thought...

I sent a text message last week to my Mom who passed on November 30th (I thought maybe I was losing it) - she was only diagnosed with stage 4 cancer two weeks before - shocking for everyone. The text actually went through - but no miraculous answer but that is ok! Hope it made you feel happy to share your amazing news - all the best!

💔 Sending you deepest condolenses as well as heartiest congtatulations. I lost my mom in 2018 but still mourn her deeply. It hurts as much now as it did then. I too have her voicemail message and talk to her every day, when I go into her bedroom, which has remained the same. I tell her bit of news and needless to say, the tears roll every time. Her passing is one I will never get over. May all of us who have lost our moms (and dads) be comforted in the knowledge that they are "asleep" and know no more pain. As an adult, it doesn't make the loss any easier to bear. Rest in Peace, sweetest Mother of Mine. I love and miss you so very much. Forever. 💔

I miss her and talk to her most days. It’s been 60 yrs. What I’m saying is even tho there is that hole in your heart always dwell on the love and laughter and memories that you shared and made you who you are. What a sweet story. I am sorry for her and her families loss. I lost my mom as well. I definitely did call her number a few times after she passed away and sent text messages to her. I knew she couldn't answer me but it definitely did feel good to send her messages. I talk to her everyday. My hope is her soul can hear me and she is able to see her new grandchild and know my kids will always know who she is even though she is no longer physically here. I love you mom! Your life will never be the same when you lose a parent so if you are lucky enough to have parents that are still alive, enjoy them and show them all the love they have shown you through the years. ❤️

I am so sorry about your mom. I lost my father at age 20 and I actually heard him dying but at the time I did not realize it. It was only later that day, after finding out he had passed away, that I put two and two together. Your mom would be so very proud of your accomplishment I’m sure! I hope and pray that all continues to go well for you and that❤ you are very successful in your field of medicine.

I think your Mom heard both of your calls. I lost my Dad when I was in college. (call in the night). Its rough but our folks can see us and still love us so much.. My mom died in February, a month after her 61st birthday. On Mother's Day that year, I had a dream that she was allowed to come back to earth for one day only. When she had to leave, she hugged me. I swear I felt a physical hug, and my mom wasn't a hugger. I woke up crying. When my husband of almost 49 years died, I wrote him a letter every day for weeks. We do whatever we feel is necessary to help us cope. I think you have come up with the perfect coping mechanism. I hope you continue to call your Mother, on any occasion, whether happy or sad. The Bible tells us we are not supposed to talk to the dead, but I believe that means going to psychics, not talking with our hearts.

My parents didn’t raise me 😢 my grandparents raised my siblings and I and it’s sweet to see people that have amazing parents. It made me tear up to see she lost her mom but I’m so happy she had wonderful memories and such a loving spirit ❤ she was blessed to have such wonderful mom and I know she’s her guardian angel for sure ❤
