Ah yes, that minor bit of blurring around the eyes will completely stop the bosses that he's worried about retaliating from working out who he is. The use of his name, voice, everything but his eyes, showing his home and its location, and everything else will surely keep his identity as anonymous as he requested.
Myanmar is blessed with tons and tons of natural resources with ruthless selfish dictatorial government run by military junta. Myanmar will be one of the most progressive and developed countries if financial gains generated by these natural resources are judiciously utilized for public welfare. The rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. Sad life. Myanmar is rich country with one of the poorest people.
Yea Myanmar is basically a failed state with a 13 faction civil war happening. Like, even if the junta loses Myanmar is probably going to split apart forming several nationals. It’s basically several nations already.
Myanmar, blood jade, heroin and others.. It's about time for peace and prosperity for long suffering people of Myanmar. [By the way, many thanks for the informative multi-page comments by 'Ms. Gregoria' at, "Myanmar remains in social and economic crisis since military seized power/BBC News"., that I learnt a whole lot more about Myanmar than I've ever known]. Like I said, it's about time for peace and prosperity to people of Myanmar.
Many thanks for the very informative and insightful, multi-page comment by 'Ms. Gregoria' at, "Myanmar remains in social and economic crisis since military seized power/BBC News", on UA-cam. 🙏
I enjoy these videos but sometimes that narration is just wrong (jadeite is found all over the world in large quantities, its just that Myanmar has larger deposits which are actually good enough for jewelry, not that they are the only source of jadeite) or takes some odd stances (like expressing how all these groups are mining illegally or without permits as though its some big secret operation going against the hard working people of the government then only halfway through mention its because the country is in a military dictatorship and mining is funding the rebels)
yea, both gem quality diamonds and jade are rare, it's hard to make comparison in gems since so much depends on different qualities. what compairson are they making? gem quality jade vs industrial grade diamonds?? and one sec they say the mines are guarded by military then the next they say the mines are illegal. 😂 maybe they are saying the new government is illegitimate so now all actions are no longer supported by the law.
@@hzhang1228 I think they were comparing the actual material properties. Like diamonds for example are very hard, almost impossible to cut without other diamond. Diamond however isn't very tough, and can be easily smashed with a regular claw hammer. Jade, however isn't very hard or tough for a gemstone making harvesting it that much harder. The whole legality thing is a matter of perspective. In mynmar it's guarded by mynmar military. And use of the mine is permitted by their crooked government. Pretty sure what makes use of the mine illegal is everyone else's/the United nations policies.
house burned down. lives in cemetery next to dead friends. mines all day to feed Heroin addiction.wife will only take him back if he makes gets money. Damn
Y'all have done a fantastic job at keeping his identity secret, if I knew who he was irl I would never be able to tell who he is at all from this video... XD
The world is. Buying items such as this is a ‘trend’ no one should be buying any crystals such as this even Amber. If you see how Amber is mined complete villages get flooded and people displaced.
Diamonds are inflated by the De Beers Company for several decades now. My Geology profs at the uni even said they told their spouses to not to buy into diamond hype when buying jewelry for them. De Beers ran a huge propaganda and ad campaign that if you are a man and cannot buy a diamond, you don't know how to give a gift to a woman. Sapphire and jade should be more expensive than diamonds!
9:25 if that guy found a $4k (usd) stone and then tried to quit drugs and go home id bet in just a little bit of time he would blow that money on drugs and be right back where he’s at. I’m not sure of the help an addict can get there but I assume not much. So I hate to say it but the guy the blurred out is probably there for life.
This is going on right now by an exploitive and growing communist empire but nobody can get over what happened 200 years ago - there’s something wrong with people.
Trust me 400000 is an underestimate. I was there in 2016 for work. The entire economy of Myanmar runs in Jade, everyone is talking about going to Hpakan to make it big in the Jade mines. Anyone in Mandalay who's rich made their fortune in the jade trade. What's shown in this video is just a small part of it.
easy to say from youre comfortable home in the usa. its easy to sell drems to people living in poor conditions and jesus would want you to help them so what are you doing ?
Just I live in Myanmar. This is not company enterprise. This is Myanmar call diction is (Yaymasay job). Yaymasay job is personal 3:31 delve in company discard outcrop. This is so dangerous own life. But, Their dreams is become (lawpan) a richman in MYANMAR. This meaning is (Kyouk Aung pyi)😂
The use of drugs to essentially trap the miners by way of addiction is pretty fucked up. Do not think the laborers are being paid in drugs by coinsidence.

Senasib bro sama orang Indonesia 😅
yang Kaya korupsi dan makin kaya
Yang miskin makin miskin dan dibodohkan dengan bansos 😂
Just like Africa. Things won't change.
That's so sad, I hope ppl who pays tons of money to this kinda stone/jewelry watches this and notice people actually die for it. Heartbreaking...
$4760 doesn't seem like it would be a life changing sum of money but for him it would be a fortune

China bots detected
They sensationalize absolutely everything, and are attempting to make a well known fact seem illusive and not obvious.
Yea Myanmar is basically a failed state.

Believe in jade is so stupid. It is just a green stone 😂😂😂😂😂.

Chinese exploiting people, wow that doesnt sound like them lol

My husband said the same thing! He said I could pick whatever stone I wanted, except a diamond. I now have a peacock blue Montana sapphire!
It’s almost like China has more people than resources. If it can be profitable China is there
Just like the U.S..at least china doesn't wage wars in order to steal resources

The lisp makes this a rough listen
True
You haven't hidden his identity very well have you?
that is why they want myanmar to be still at war and in chaos so that those countries can keep exploiting them.. ASEAN cant do anything too 😂
He was at home, with his family, went to work and desires only to go back where he came from.
rarer than a diamond????? Isn't diamond the most common precious gemstone so wouldn't that mean that everything is more rare than a diamond? lol
Nasib orang Myanmar ternyata mirip Indonesia 😢
U guys didn't hide his identity at all

This is going on right now by an exploitive and growing communist empire but nobody can get over what happened 200 years ago - there’s something wrong with people.
400000 people work everyday lol sounds over exaggerated
