LOVED this video. My husband has always wanted to winter camp, I’ve not been thrilled about it until watching this video! Already researching King Camp products! ❤ Thank you!
It definitely is more work and can be harsh but also very rewarding and beautiful. Most important is to have the right gear, layers of clothing etc. Thanks for stopping, we appreciate it
The snow didn't seem to slow Lu down at all. You guys on the other hand looked exhausted after that cold, sleepless night. But you were still able to put together another awesome video highlighting a camping experience from a perspective many people will only see from the comfort of their warm home.
I really like the thought of hot tenting. I wish I’d done it when I lived in Colorado, but it just seldom gets that cold here without it becoming a winter ice storm where you can’t really travel outside of town.
Thank you friends, truly appreciate it. You guys are doing great don't think otherwise, the more you do it the better you get at it all. So jealous of the Canada trip!! xoxo Have a great Christmas if we don't chat before then
Boy oh boy BD your smiles ear to ear 😁, come on you failed your survival test by not being prepared with your new tent🤨. You need to whip him into shape Grandma 😁, safety travels friends 🍻
Yep. Traditional pasties are the bomb. I’ve been making them homemade. Rutabaga, carrot, potatoes, ground sirloin. Easy as sin and tasty!! Every time I think I can get there on winter camping…nope. Just don’t think I can. Lolol.
Thank you!!! Typically its still near or below freezing at home so we don't do anything, the ice kind of just stays there and we are out again the following week sometimes. If it's going to warm up and be sunny I just kind of take it out of the bag and throw it up across the truck or try to hang it so the water can drip down and out.
Wow! The sounds and visuals are amazing. You did such a good job that as I'm curled up under my electric blanket, I vow to never winter camp (no matter how wonderful the music is)! 😅
So parts of this area had just gotten 20-30 inches of snow and we were not sure the forest roads would even be accessible so it's sometimes easier to just take the truck. We also love doing the hot tent nights in the winter just to mix it up. We had several spots we were thinking of and so we didn't know exactly where we would end up depending on weather etc. We definitely do take it and sometimes just use the smaller hot tent we have as a living room in the winter as well. Thanks for stopping in, we appreciate it
I see a Barebones lantern this time! I love those things. I could never manage a tent like that. Had to have help getting a cover on the T@g. I do have a great tent stove from Four Dog. Looks like you had fun!
Great video. That is SO much snow. How do you like the hot tent? Can you post a link to the blanket? Also, even here in Georgia, in the winter months, my butane stove won't work. What winter stove do you use? Or do you use open fire or your hot tent stove? Thanks again for bringing us along.
Looks like a great time to bring some cross country skis! Yes, winter camping is A lot of work!
We need to learn some cross country, thanks for coming along, it was awesome

Great video. Just curious.. How do you dry out your tent when you get home or that even necessary with this tent.

Thanks Barb, we really appreciate it, we love making these winter ones just for those like you who don't want to get out
Just curious, why not use the teardrop for these trips?

Hi Teri, yes this tent is definitely a handful lol. We love those bare bones lights, wood stoves are my favorite ❤️🙏 Hope you have a great weekend
It would be great if you could introduce a thermal wear.
Very soon
