I would have to say "I saw the devil" is equal to this. The emotions by the lead actor in that movie are just as powerful as Won Bins here. Both fantastic movies with such depth. Two of my favorites.
the moment he thought he lost the only thing he cared about, again. he put the gun against his head with no light in his eyes. than the little girl called him, his eyes slowly lighted up. that performance maked this film one of my favorites.
Earlier in this movie, he mentioned that he's beginning to forget how the little girl looks like and how he wished to take a picture of her. Even before killing himself, he's still trying to remember her but it was the girl's running away from him that flashes to his mind. Such a tragic moment. If that girl's calling him a few seconds later, he'd be dead and it's gonna be his more tragic. She really is his salvation and this scene is beautiful.

The first time I watched this movie, my older brothers came home during this scene and they asked: "Wtf are you watching?" They didn't understand. This guy just killed half of Seoul trying to find this girl.
Everybody's got a hard on for the main actor and how good his acting is, but I've never seen a child actor that was as believable as the little girl in the movie. She's the one that always makes me tear up when I watch/rewatch this movie every few years. Incredible little actress

First time I watched this movie, I was simple glad because the girl is alive because the assassin saved her. Now I watched the scene again, having a family with a 4 years old daughter, I just want to hold her tight everytime I have a chance.
The fact that the girl said earlier on that she didn't want to hate the man because he was the only one she liked, and then they finally reunite. And then the last scene with the hug. I'm glad it was a wholesome ending, even if they had to separate.

I'm so glad that so far there is no dislike for such incredible & impressing scene. 2010 is a very nostalgic moment. I can only say that he is really manly & brave to play such dangerous movie. I'm impressed of him & immensely hope to keep in existence in recent year for the next movie. My suggestion is (to) keep your hair like that cuz you are the most gallant, the most good looking & the the neatest hair among your hairstyle every year you change. Thanks. It deserves to be the best korean movie ever in 2010 (y)
When Tae-Sik was about to commit suicide, I lost it and started bawling my eyes out. I can't imagine the pain and despair he must be feeling at that very moment ;_;
I wonder who saved the little girl from when she nearly get slaughtered? maybe the foreign guy whom she gave a band-aid and tae-shik's last enemy which he combat with, badly he didn't tell and maybe just got swayed with his conscience..
Well i watch this scene for over 10 times & after i feel scared of his brutal action of killing thugs massively, my tears finally keep coming out when tae sik is about to commit suicide due to his failure of saving so mi & his hopelessness of being a murderer that will cause to get arrested by the polices. I also understand how desperate his heart feels after his pregnant wife death. However, So mi turns out to be still alive. Finally tae sik's heart gets touched & caresses her hair compassionately. Thank you for this inspiring movie which deserves to be the best 2010 movie ever. We can pick a lesson for this movie & i will await for the next won bin's movie. Thank you :)
If I were the director I would have ended the movie dramatically here during the prolonged hug, camera zooms out(shot from the side), both characters full-in-view on screen, MC stares up, tears flow down, dust speckles flying through the light beam, camera shot keeps zooming out until dark. Maybe add a bit of police sirens in the background. Still enough to be open-ended, also leaves some room for viewers to speculate about him escaping and raising his adopted daughter in hiding or something, door left open for a sequel, even if the point was just a solo movie, it wouldn't have hurt to left the ending open. edit - Man, I have to say though, when that music kicked in at 2:44 my eyes went into free flow waterfall, even now on my fourth viewing as a 6'1'ft 30 yr old man. Those organ harvesters weren't human involving little children, that foreign hitman working for them however was at least human, he lived by his code.
This girl's greatest happiness is not that she is saved. Its someone came for her, that makes her happy.
