Why this band, this album , doesn’t get radio play is beyond me. They’re always offering new , fresh ideas while remaining true to their pop punk roots. Well done KP , well done
@@calmestladagreed, I don’t deny kp more succes, but being underground and this amazing kind of makes them magical, Been listening to them for 7/8 years and still can’t get enough of them
Incredible closer for the record. Love how there’s a few of those ‘screeches’ popping up throughout the album, and it’s cool to hear them tearing through all the noise in the last minute of Fool
I have thoughts about this song, but I'm not confident enough in my interpretation to go to Genius lyrics, lol. I think this song takes place entirely in the narrator's head. It's an imagined scenario. The narrator sees a woman that catches his interest, debates whether he should ride the train again just to see her again (first verse), dreams of her (second verse), then the narrator's depression starts to sour the daydream. He figures the woman must already have a significant other but agrees to be with him anyway. When the news breaks, does she break things off with her significant other or just simply avoid the conflict (bridge)? In the biggest stretch of my interpretation, I think the "smoking gun" idiom becomes literal. I think the daydream culminates in the significant other having a mental break and attempting to shoot the woman, and the narrator imagines that he'd take the bullet for her, hence the final version of the refrain. ("Would I be a fool to **die** for you?") The song ultimately feels like a representation of true, long term, clinical depression in the form of deep-seated loneliness and suicidal ideation. It knocks the wind out of me every listen, especially with the abrupt end.
*Lyrics:* I see you on the morning train where misery always lights my way I'd give you my thoughts if they weren't so strained and save you a seat if you seal my fate would I be a fool to ride for you iIsee your face in a lucid dream the one place left where our souls can meet I'll play pretend just to keep my hands clean but things aren't always the way they seem would I be a fool to lie for you cause the truth comes out through the darkest clouds will you rise like the sun or just turn and run from the smoking gun have you had enough to quit while you're ahead of it now would I be a fool to die for you
the way they changed each word at the end of the chorus to represent each verse is pure genius

They're not on a major label.
Being played on radio is not a good thing, commercial music is shocking

Best song of the album for me. Also this has strong "Sideways sleeper" by Homesafe vibes. It brings me the same feeling of that song.

Love this one from the album. Reminds me of the song "My Sundown" by Jimmy Eat World.
I love the idea of this songs motifs. It feels like it came right out of the 90's
Right?? Feels like it came right off the soundtrack for Before Sunrise

I see you on the morning train
where misery always lights my way
I'd give you my thoughts
if they weren't so strained
and save you a seat
if you seal my fate
would I be a fool to ride for you
iIsee your face in a lucid dream
the one place left where our souls can meet
I'll play pretend just to keep my hands clean
but things aren't always the way they seem
would I be a fool to lie for you
cause the truth comes out through the darkest clouds
will you rise like the sun
or just turn and run from the smoking gun
have you had enough to quit while you're ahead of it now
would I be a fool to die for you
this is what nostalgia sounds like when your 43. Damn son
The spiritual successor to "Untitled". A.K.A. "Untitled #2".
I wish there was at least couple more seconds of guitar at the end
Reminds me a lot of Conduit. Long build, into a great explosive ending. Fool is amazing
Pnuckle Kuck
This sounds like a Mayday Parade song and I love i
Knuckle puck was my ex’s favorite band. I’ve always felt guilty for liking them
