Swakopmund is beautiful but dangerous ey, the residents doesn't like going out to the house that much because of the cold weather in the small city, but I am from the landlocked town Okahandja, 283km east of Swakopmund...

Swakopmund is mostly known to be a retirement city for Germans. A many of those old Buildings are from the German colonial era. The city makes a great effort to preserve them as they are a magnet to attract tourists. Swakopmund meaning: "Swakop" is a name of a river and "mund is a German word meaning mouth. Swakopmund therefore means, where the Swakop river ends or mouth of the Swakop river. The place itself is more of a resort place and it is most over populated during December and also during Easter Weekend.

Swakopmund is a TOWN, it’s not a city.

It’s a capital city of the erongo province, we just call it a town by choice , but systemically it’s recognized a city by UN

Namibia has the second largest population of white people in africa after South africa in percentage, 7% for Namibia & 8% for South Africa , so meaning you will see a lot of white people in literally all corners of the country except the northern part
