There is no analog sound when it comes trough youtube, but I feel you. Nice piece, also got a A77, but it`s a spare parts supply for the B77. Got a lot to clean up, but it`s worth it.
Hi great video. I would like to ask some questions. I have bought a revox A77 HS and needs some service. for what tape type is aligned your machine? Did you do any recaping? I hear almost no noise to your recording. Could you tell me your connections setup and how you achieved so clean result? Thanks in advance.
Hi Micky ! Nope, no recap for this machine!! It'a aligned for RMG SM911 (really good new tape for me) From my daw (RME Fireface 800) to A77 input From A77 output again into my audio interface (RME Fireface 800) I've recording at 24bit 96khz in LOGIC X and i've played my track (Master .wav) at 24bit 96khz !!
I also have this machine...which sounds good, but nowhere near the one in the video. I was also wondering how I could improve mine. Apart from cleaning heads, demagnetizing and alligning.
Gabriele Pacelli I had to recap mine and service. Sounds even better from the one in video if not the same. I have the 15ips 2track like in video. I guess depends on condition plus you need to calibrate it for the tape you use.

did you record the audio directly to this tape machine? did you record with 7 1/2 IPS Tape Speed or with 15 IPS ?
