Big Z's overhead was never the same after the nerve injury.
Z is 15 times the strongest man on the planet giving WSM, IFSA, Fortissimus and ASC all claimed the title and he has 4, 2, 1 and 8 1st place finishes on each of them
He has 4 WSM, 8 Arnolds, 3 Europe's strongest, 2 IFSA, 1 Fortissimus and 3 masters strongest man. 21 major wins and no one else is within 10 majors of him.

@@troll-fx2zcIf he's so great why didn't he stick around longer instead of winning one title and then disappearing? Because he was so fat and roiding so hard he was going to die if he kept competing. Zavickas has the FAR greater resume and is 10x the strongman Hall will ever be. Eddie doesn't even compete anymore, Zavickas would walk all over him at the moment.
@@troll-fx2zcNope. I'm probably the biggest Eddie fan, but it won't be so easy, in fact pretty close I'd say. Especially in the events that advantages a larger frame like throwing, tossing, moving fast with longer strides.. I think Zydrunas would overtake Eddie
@@vrominatorx2668partially true. But counter argument is that muscle mass matters, and to put the same muscle mass as Big Z, Eddie with a smaller frame had to work twice hard. That's why in terms of strongman ability, I think they are 49-51 in most of the events (a little strength advantage for Eddie and a little dynamics/frame advantage for Big Z), but Big Z could sustain it for longer and Eddie couldn't
Yep. Pudzianowski is underrated though. No one won more WSM titles (aside from masters)
The man having the highest placings would be a better tie breaker. Heart breaker for Henla. Very impressive when you see these guys competing with the aging factor is accounted for.

Not at all. He's a "go big or go home" mentality. He has so many things under his belt, there's no reason to prep for Master's titles.
@a-a-rondavis9438 I mean by that logic why would Z compete because he has far more accolades than Shaw. Shaw won't do it because he doesn't see any benefit to it, other guys do.
They are both at the pinnacle of strongman. Shaw seems to be focusing on growing his SMOE competition, exploring arm wrestling and growing his business. It remains to be seen, whether or not those plans include competing in the future.
@@Adam-bw6dj, the difference Beard Z doesn’t care about winning, losing or even horribly injuring himself. The only thing he cares about is he likes competing, so he’ll keep on competing for as long as he can.

Even more impressive that he won being 7 years older than Rauno, 7y is like another half of entire career in case on many competitors

I don’t mean to state the obvious however, Big Z is looking a bit…..not so healthy. He was just not so long ago looking like a bodybuilder What happened?
Put on weight for competition...standard practice.
Thor weighs 205kg currently, for example.
There's a reason why strongmen don't have bodybuilder physiques. He put on additional mass to be more competitive.

They have to have some standards for WSM. You can't have a belly the size of earth and compete.

Yeah, the standards are ‘Can you lift this weight’. This isn’t bodybuilding, we should we discriminate on looks when there’s no weight limit?
