Darker than I was expecting, gives me visions of whales communicating under the open night sky. The pitch-bending gives this a bit of a radical synth-wavey edge. Needs a second listen to fully appreciate it I think. Thanks for the experience.
Yeah, when I first heard it mashed up with Movement Machina during J&J’s Hong Kong set, I thought it was Yotto. That type of bass line/bass sound is definitely something Yotto made popular on the label. Marsh and Nox Vahn took it a step further though, IMO. Yotto is dope but these guys have a more melodic feel and I just love Marsh’s use of Arps in this track and Come Together (he uses the same Roland plug-in and board I do, the System-1) and I believe that’s where those arp sounds are coming from.
