In 1999, he was named by the MIT Technology Review TR100 as one of the world's top 100 innovators under age 35. His personal mascot is a penguin nicknamed Tux, which has been widely adopted as the mascot of the Linux kernel. Currently, the Linux Foundation sponsors Torvalds so he can work full-time on improving Linux. He retains the highest authority to decide which new code is incorporated into the standard Linux kernel. He was honored with the 2012 Millennium Technology Prize by the Technology Academy Finland. He is also the recipient of the 2014 IEEE Computer Society Computer Pioneer Award. In 2006, Time magazine named him one of the revolutionary heroes of the past 60 years. Torvalds holds the "Linux" trademark and monitors the use of it.

I love how honest Linus is. And as a day to day Linux user I understand his frustration with companies that don't see its potential. But Linux is getting better and better every day. Not to mention that now a lot of developers are developing their games with native Linux support in mind. :)

Honestly one of the biggest pros of the linux community is the lack of normies and less computer savvy users. Don't get me wrong, not everyone has to be a computer master but at least most of the Linux users have mastered the basics...

Everyone is very good at something, maybe it might not be enough, but it is a start; start with what you have first, and expand from YEARS to YEARS !! Ironically he did change the world at least 3 times. Linux and WWW are conjoined twins. Linux Containers gave us Cloud computing. and Git changed the way we work even beyond the programming realm.

Cool, thanks, not sure about his management style (angry) and I'm not sure why you'd want to use Linux though, it's hard to use. It's free but in the end it'll cost you more if you include your time.
If you want Unix just use macOS and start accomplishing things right. The goal in the end is to save time.

+Mel Mel In software development, the problem is that the problems are sometimes so complex or new, that it is often not possible to just make "intelligent design". That is especially the case with new kind of problems that for there is no known good solution. Intelligent design works well, if you have a well known problem.
I agree. IMO, most intelligent designs are a result of the experience gained by many failed designs.
To know how to design something intelligently, you must first do trial and error.
