Xavier comes home for incubation, Di returns and takes over the incubation
NEWS 3rd October
Hatching is due any day now, perhaps even today as we are on our 35th day of incubation, which started from the laying of the second egg.
Diamond will stay close to the box at this time as females don't always trust males with tiny newly hatched nestlings. She may even forego breakfast as in this clip of her rejecting a starling (and Xavier making a very odd noise in response!) • FalconCam 2024 10 03 X... . Mind you, it was a starling, and we know she is not that keen on them for reasons unknown. Can't say I blame her!
